Sigma continues to hit it out of the park with its lineup of Art lenses. The Sigma 85mm ƒ/1.4 DG HSM Art lens offers the sharpest 85mm lens we've seen, and it does it at about two-thirds the cost of its competitors. What's not to like?
Gorgeous lens!
Amazing lense im using it for wedding and portraits.. Amazing performance in low light. Only con is its weight.. My neck hurts if i carry more than 10mins..
In the trifecta of portrait lenses-85mm, 105mm, and 135mm-the 85mm focal length is the gateway. It's short enough for tight shooting spaces, while producing a real portrait look, yet versatile enough for use in other genres, including photojournalism, where a nifty 50 comes up a bit short.
I usually write reviews only when I am angry and not happy , but this is my first time I am writing a review about something I really love! this lens is amazing, I could not believe I could take such amazing sharp pictures. I love it to the maximum, a bit heavy, but it worth every penny .
Easily Interchangeable; Quick Focus; Sharp Focus; Strong Construction
Heavy
The 85mm features a fast maximum aperture of f/1.4, working in perfect harmony with its 9 rounded diaphragm blades to produce beautiful bokeh in the out-of-focus areas.
Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM is a Fixed aperture Auto Focus (AF) Telephoto Prime lens with 35mm FF max sensor coverage, and it is designed to be used with F(FX) Mount cameras. What type of photography is the Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM lens good for?
Weather-sealed, Autofocus, Distance Scale, Full-time Manual Focusing, Very Fast Aperture, Covers Full-Frame Sensor, 9 Diaphragm Blades for Smooth Bokeh, Heavy, Pricey

Wow! Another top lens from Sigma's Art series. I am very impressed with the quality of this beast. The Sigma 85mm is fast, well built but large and heavy, but it is a FF f1.4. The bokeh is buttery smooth. Great contrast, vibrant colour producing a very sharp image.
This lens produces extraordinary images. It is an important addition to the Art Series of lenses from Sigma. While this focal length is considered a portrait lens, this new lens is ideal for isolating individual subjects within a scene with the beautiful bokeh this lens produces.
