The Sennheiser 421 is a large diaphragm dynamic microphone that came out originally in the early 60s and quickly became known as a really good sounding robust mic that could handle high spls.
I was so please to get this microphone. Clean and clear and very robust. An absolute classic of the music industry. Gough whitlam spoke into one on that terrible day in November during the constitutional crisis, the Beatles used them all over the world seen lots of photos of that.
