SanDisk sent their Ultra 64GB USB 3.0 make of their ultra series flash drives, which is advertised to be up to 4 times faster than USB 2.0 drives in comparison to their Cruzer USB 2.0 counterparts. However for such flash drives, any brands mostly point out the read speed.
5 Years Warranty; Retractable design
Bad write performance; Not recommended for frequent file transfer purposes
Yes, I would recommend this flash drive to others. It's a great bang for the buck and has good security software. Honestly, the only reason to buy a SanDisk product is for the software. A 5 year warranty is good too. I really wish other colors were an option. The shape of this is strange too.
I really like the SanDisk SecureAccess software, which is the main reason that I bought this; It's basically the SanDisk modified version of ENC DataVault; The software from ENC is $14.99 for a license that works on 3 devices.
I really hate the colors of SanDisk flash drives; Black is horrid for computer products because it shows dust and dirt like crazy and it's ugly; In the 1990's computer products were often beige and even that was less ugly.
The flash drive has a slow write speed despite the available and fully functioning USB 3.0 port on my neighbors desktopPC. I am currently transferring 20 GB of data, without any increase to the expected 40 mb/s speeds as advertised. Reasons?
Took camera to Best Buy for new SanDisk. Wanted to upgrade from 2 to 8 GB. Was told by sales agent this would work great. Guess what!!! My camera (which was also purchased from Best Buy) would not support the larger SanDisk. Did not find this out until I got it home and tried it out.
Don't know
Wrong application
Do not, I repeat do not, use the back-up Vault whatever it is called. I followed the 12 page pdf directions & set-up "My Vault" and tried to copy about 12 GB of photos.
Lightweight
Difficult Setup; Poor Interface
I loaded a number of files on the flash drive and the first time that I tried to review the files, I could not access the drive, then could not even erase and reformat the drive. Costco's return policy has been great.

flash drive failed
Really great little flash drive! It's noticeably faster than my USB 2.0 drives, and has worked flawlessly after reading and writing more than 90 thousand files. It does get a little warm with use, but not hot. The main body is small, so the heat is expected, especially with such great speed.
fast and compact; sandisk quality; best price on internet; sandisk stands by their products
a little flimsy
Nothing wrong with item except the keyring hole is totally cheap plastic and breaks easily.
SanDisk has been a leader in the storage industry for more than 20 years. Founded in 1988 by Dr. Eli Harari, the company has grown to become the world's largest supplier of flash memory data storage products.
Good performance for a USB 2.0 flash drive; SecureAccess software protects files in encrypted; password-protected "vault; USB connector protected by sliding mechanism; Compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7 and Mac OS X; Nice looking; lightweight design; Five year warranty; Reasonably priced
10 MB/s write speed only applies to the first 20 MB of the data transfer; Includes only 2GB of online storage
