Ricoh GR III Street Edition Digital Camera - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Ricoh GR III HDF Digital Camera - Brand New review

A slight camera upgrade, new emergency features, and... not a whole lot else

Better selfie camera, Good battery life, Crash detection and satellite SOS are neat

It’s more like an iPhone 13S, Display is still 60Hz, eSIM transition will be easy for most but painful for some

Good quality photographs, poor battery life

I have had this camera for 3 months. Picture quality is okay, however, the battery life is dismal. Lucky to get 50 shots off and when it dies, there is little warning. The Ricoh app (Image Sync) is absolutely useless. Waited for them to update the app.

Ricoh GR III Camera

The Ricoh GR line of cameras has a history dating from the film era, with several models released over the years. In the age of digital sensors, the GR line is synonym with compact, elegant bodies featuring advanced controls and, most importantly, an APS-C sensor.

24 MP APS-C sensor meets expectations; In-body image stabilization and dust removal; Excellent fast aperture; wide lens; Superb build quality in a tiny format; Effective and high-quality touchscreen; Excellent center sharpness at all apertures; closely followed by edges and corners; Fast and...

Strong vignetting if left uncorrected (absent with in-camera correction; No weather resistance; Movie mode no more than adequate; Battery life underwhelming; Unpleasing bokeh at times; Immature wi-fi apps

Hello I had the Ricoh GRIII since May and this I want I think so far: What I like very much: This camera works better for street photography than anything I have tried before. It draws almost no attention. It is so small, easy to use and discrete.

Ricoh might not be the first brand that pops to mind when thinking about photography, but its GRII camera won the hearts of photographers around the world with its excellent image quality, sturdy but stylish build, and enviously compact body.

Ricoh GR III Review: Tiny camera, huge appeal

The smartphone may have replaced a dedicated camera for many, but the Ricoh GR III is here to remind us that's not universally the case. The latest in Ricoh's series of super-pocketable street shooters, it packs the highest resolution sensor yet – and, at $899, the highest price tag too.

APS-C sensor in a tiny form-factor; OIS is excellent; Image quality handily bests smartphone cameras

Expensive; Autofocus can be frustrating; No EVF

Ricoh recently announced the latest in their series of high quality, ultra-portable digital cameras, the GR III. Smaller than its predecessor, this new Ricoh compact camera has a 24-megapixel APS-C format CMOS image sensor, 28mm (equivalent) prime lens and a host of features normally found on...
