Great little lens!

I first bought the Samyang 7.5mm f3.5 fisheye. But since I do a lot of close-up with my kids, I needed AF since they move a lot. On my Olympus E-M1, the focus is fast in good light, and a little bit slower when the lightning is dimmer. The lens is very sharp in the center wide opened.

Small & neat. Takes little room in the camera bag. Good for panoramas.

Unique

"Not for all situations or subjects, but always worth having in your camera bag or a vest pocket. Very light and compact. On my Lumix G85 IBIS I can rely on a sharp hand-held image with shutter speeds down to 1/4 second. In 35mm terms the close focus gives a 1:2.5 macro reproduction.

Great lens for underwater shots

Fantastic wide angle lens for underwater use (in a suitable housing obviously). Super sharp, 180 degree field of view and very close focus. Great for those close-focus wide angle shots.

Exceeded expectations; close focus; great image quality

REVIEW: Panasonic Lumix G 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens Review

This diagonal fisheye lens provides a 180 degree angle of view from corner to corner when used with a Micro Four Thirds camera body. As this lens is designed especially for the Micro Four Thirds system is is very compact and can be picked up for around £600.

[REVIEW-Panasonic Lumix G 8mm fisheye lens]

This lens, designed for Panasonic and Olympus Micro Four Thirds cameras, is an extreme wide-angle optic with angle of view (180 degree diagonal) equivalent to a 16mm lens on a 35mm film camera. Maximum aperture is f3.5.

Images from this lens are outstanding; Sharpness, contrast and colour are good; The video effect is spectacular; The hard-to-define feel of the lens is luxurious

A very minor point – there is no image stabilisation; But used on an Olympus E Pen camera there is, because of the CCD-shift stabilisation in Olympus cameras
