Item is exactly what I expected; great quality lens
Bought this to go my lumix gx80, a really good lens for the price and excellent quick delivery.
I use this lens indoors most of the time. All you need to keep in mind - this lens has no stabilisation, that's why the price is so good comparing leica one, but I don't care because my gx85 has in body stabilisation. Very good lens, seriously.
From http://www.david-ruether-photography.com/MFT-Lenses.htm#25mm (photo samples are also there) - This compact, fast, and light "normal" lens for the MFT format performs very well over a wide range of stops (from wide open at f1.7 to a bit beyond f11).
Sharp to the corners over a wide range of stops; Low CA; Excellent for infrared photography; Compact and light-weight
None (other than for not having in-lens stabilization; but I don't find this a problem for my use
This lens works okay on a tripod but is terrible during motion on a stabilizer. The 14-42mm works flawlessly. This one just produces shaky video footage that's just not usable. I'll keep this for day/night shots on a tripod under low light conditions.
Inexpensive
Did not meet expectations
I bought this to supplement the standard lens with my Olympus OM DEM10. My plan was to use it for some portrait shots, but I haven't as yet. I have had brilliant results, though, with architecture shots- the lens gives crisp detail on subject in focus, and beautiful bokeh in the background.
I ordered this Lens on Thursday Afternoon , 11.00 am on Friday , it was on my Camera , Well done WEX , My first Impression of the Results , Excellent , Since doing Digital about twelve years ago , I have wanted a Standard prime , This one is inexpensive , sharp , light and just the right size on an...
Great Picture Quality; Lightweight; Simple Controls
This lens is great quality, the images from it are excellent, don't even ponder just get ,you won't regret it.
At first sight, Panasonic's latest lens, the Lumix G 25mm f/1.7 Asph, may look redundant before it's even hit the shops. After all, it's not as if there's a shortage of similar options for Micro Four Thirds. But then you notice the price – just £159 at launch – and it makes sense.
