OnePlus 9 Pro with Hasselblad tuned camera delivers across the board...
The OnePlus 9 Pro is yet another great-performing, well-made smartphone from the Chinese brand. At £829 it still undercuts the competition on RRP, but not significantly with the frequent discounts for Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series and others available online.
Pros: Slick performance, good software, good battery life, speedy charging, great screen, solid camera, water resistance.
Cons: Only three years of software support, camera can over-sharpen images, screen glass not the toughest available.
I strongly recommend this phone for those on earlier version of OnePlus smartphones from before 2020. These users will notice a big jump in experience and features, especially with the camera and screen.
Beautiful and fast display; Amazingly fast charging capabilities; Ultra-wide camera improvements;
Price continues to climb; Hasselblad partnership doesn't offer much -- yet; Inconsistent batter performance;
A primary camera with a touch of magic; Smooth and bright 120Hz screen; Loud stereo speakers;
So-so battery life at 120Hz; Not the sharpest zoom camera around;
The OnePlus 9 Pro takes its place as one of the best smartphones on the planet.
Truly excellent display, in every way, Stellar performance, Incredible fast wired & wireless charging, Good build quality, Solid stereo speakers & audio performance, OxygenOS is as good as ever, Tactile buttons, Camera bump isn't huge, Great fingerprint scanner, Charger included (yes, that's a win...
Camera performance should be better, No microSD card slot, Battery life is good, but not great
Prior to writing up this review, I spent some time talking about how the Android landscape in the US at the ultra high-end level of phone has shrunk down to just two players: Samsung and OnePlus. You have Samsung’s Ultra phones in both S and Note lines, and then you have whatever the new Pro...
The OnePlus 9 Pro is a great phone overall, and you should definitely consider it if you’re eyeing up a new Android flagship. As far as display quality and performance goes, it’s simply one of the very best around.
There's no question that the OnePlus 9 Pro is the best phone OnePlus has ever made, but that doesn't mean it's the one you should buy. The standard OnePlus 9 with its much more appealing price might actually be the right OnePlus for you. But there's a lot I really like about the 9 Pro, and there are some great reasons to be excited for it.
With a gorgeous design, a beautiful screen and tons of power, the OnePlus 9 Pro is a solid Android flagship.
Beautiful, classy design; Vibrant, pin-sharp display; Masses of processing power; Exceptionally fast charging;
No expandable storage; Battery life could be better.; Cameras don't hit the high water mark that other features do;
The OnePlus 9 Pro is a good phone, but it’s certainly not a great one, with a compromised camera and clunky design. Strong specs and fast charging help make the case for the 9 Pro, but for the first time rival flagships deliver consistently better value.
Strong specs; Great display; Fast charging; OxygenOS;
Disappointing camera; Clunky design; Out-priced by rivals;
