Very fast and accurate focusing

The new lens hood makes fitting into many camera bags more challenging.

I use the lens fo capturing smaller birds such as hummingbirds. This lens focuses quickly letting me capture not only the bird but the motion of the wings based on the various alertness. This is a grea lens for out doors.

This 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 SWD lens from Olympus covers a range equivalent to 100-400mm on a 35mm camera and costs around ￡1000. Besides having a relatively bright maximum aperture, it also has a silent SWD focusing motor.

This lens is a gem and I use it quite often for sporting events, nature, wildlife, macros, and portraits. The 50-200mm is a perfect match with the 12-60mm and together they cover 95% of the shooting that I do.
