Don't bother buying if your body doesn't have an electronic shutter

"I bought this lens and almost returned it as it was soft on anything >170mm Then I tried it with e shutter and with a fast shutter speed it is sharp right to 300mm. DXO messed up on this lens as they make no mention of testing it with this option.

Good lens

I can't say a lot about the lens as it was a present for my husband for his birthday. He seems very pleased with it. What I did want to say is that anyone trying to claim cashback from Olympus for their summer promotion should know that Olympus and John Lewis don't say is that you need to provide a...

Eh its ok...

I ordered this lens directly from Olympus, when it arrived I immediately took it out for a try. It looks a bit awkward on my Em-5 and a little heavy. Definitely need a tripod for this lens especialy when reaching out to the full focal length.

Great fun to use

This lens has remarkable reach and produces excellent results for its price. It is very enjoyable to use, but I can no longer hand hold it at the long, 300mm, end, which is equivalent to 450mm on APS-C, 600mm on full frame! I highly recommend it.

Great Features; Great Picture Quality

excellent value for a lightweight super- telephoto

Bought this for its long 4X zoom........ pluses- lightweight, Manual Focus override with EM-1,..... minuses- slightly soft after 150mm (pixel peeping), slow max aperture means using a higher ISO, less accurate Auto focus in shade, No IS means tripod only use for Panny cameras. no hood included.....

Olympus 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 II ED M.Zuiko Digital

I am coming off a Nikon, latest being a D300. I could NEVER afford nor carry a 600mm Nikon. Key advantages. 1. Getting bird and other nature shots not previously achievable. Don't underestimate this point, a good quality shot is better than an outstanding quality shot you couldn't take. 2.

Compact; lightweight; fast focus; afordable

Image quality a bit soft at 300MM .; but for the price

Olympus ZUIKO 75-300MM f4.8-6.7 (version 2) lens EZ-M7530-2 review

One of the advantages of the Micro Four Thirds sensor is the effect it has on telephoto lenses: with its 2x crop factor, it gives this 75-300mm lens an effective field of view of 150-600mm.

Olympus 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 II ED M.Zuiko Digital review by tdonaldp

Over all rated 9- good value for the money Construction 9. It is plastic, no lens hood Optically 9. Sharp, lens does not creep, i.e. feather detail shows clearly - i.e. the feather components, color rendition is accurate, have not shot to induce flare.

light weight; reasonably sharp-I get photos that are sharper than I got with nikon D800 + nikon 300mm F2.8

Over all rated 9- good value for the money
