less so in corners"

"The Olympus 12mm f:2 is an amazingly light and compact lens, which fits comfortably in a shirt pocket, even with the hood attached. In my tests, compared with the Pany 12-35 f:2.8 and 7-14 f:4, at 12mm the lens is as good in the centre, but softer in the corners by at least 10-15% (one step on the...

Olympus M.Zuiko Lens 12mm f2.0

The Olympus M.Zuiko Lens 12mm f2.0 ($799.99 direct) is an impressively compact lens with a fast aperture and ultra-wide field of view for Micro Four Thirds cameras . Its field of view is equivalent to a 24mm lens on a full-frame camera.

Wide aperture; Very sharp; Compact.

Expensive; Shows some chromatic aberration.

Possible to get more with less!

I use it more for Video than photo, and I change from Canon to M4/3 mount because of that kind of lens! and especially for the price =)

A must have lens for Wide angle without aberration.

the lens is so small,
Not every follow focus will fit this lens.

Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight; Nice Bokeh; Olympus Gh3; Rugged

Follow Focus; Very Small

perfect but expensive

The best 24mm lens(in 35mm format)with high image quality and construction. At f/2, it is possible to shot handheld in the night. However, the lens is considered expensive. If you are a zoom lens fan goes Lumix 12-35/2.8 or 14/2.5 for much more economic choice.

Sweet Little Lens

I have taken a number of really NICE shots with this little bugger ... some should be in the Gallery if you want to check them out. Or go to 500px.com/Kawhona to check out a variety of shots done with my E5. Complaints hey yes for a lens of this price you should get a hood and a little bag.

Brilliant Specialist Lens

I do a lot of street/candid photography and bought this lens to give me a wide-angle option alongside the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 and Olympus 45mm f1.8. I use a Panasonic and Olympus camera bodies (GF1, G2 and E-PL3.

Compact; Durable; Great Features; Great Picture Quality; Lightweight; Simple Controls

No Supplied Hood; Pricey; Silver Only

My favourite wide-angle for use with MFT had previously been the four thirds Olympus ZD 11-22mm f2.8-3.5 lens, which I eventually and regretfully sold. But this new lens outperforms the zoom comfortably.

Absolutely superb build quality and good looks; Fast and reliable auto-focus and very useful 'snapshot' manual alternative; Colours and contrast similarly outstanding, and corner to corner sharpness can be obtained from f4 onwards.

None; so long as you can afford it

Superb lens!

Sharp optics, great contrast, an elegant and well-built lens. Great for street photography. It would have been perfect if it was black and with a lens hood.

Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 12mm f/2

On the Olympus PEN E-P3 body we used for this review, the lens focused quickly and quietly. AF speeds were extremely fast, with the lens locking on to the subject almost instantly in most cases.
