While I hope to create a full Nikon 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR DX Lens, my first priority is to include results from this lens in the lens comparison tools available on the site.

I bought this for family use, mainly for this price, weight and Image Quality. Today after some month of use, I'm very happy with it, and I've extended its use to more artistic pictures, only in certain circumstances of course.

For anyone wanting a very decent lens with good optics as a starter lens I highly recommend this Nikon lens. I am a pro shooter and have used this lens for 4 years now and I am thoroughly pleased with the results I get.
