Nikon 18-105mm Lens

An excellent lens, 18-105mm, that fits between the standard supplied lens 18-55mm and my additional one 55-300mm. There is no more need to use the standard supplied lens of 18-55mm and swap to the bigger lens of 55-300mm as this new lens overlaps so therefore covers a better range.

The only lens I really need!

I most recently shot a wedding with this lens on my Nikon d5100, along with a SB-700 Speedflash. The lens was easy to handle and gave me a wide focal range, which allowed me to use one lens and not fuss around with using a second camera or changing lenses.

Consistent Output

Slow Focus

Good For The Price

I had this lens for awhile before I got my equipment stolen. Although it might not be the best quality construction, it took very good pictures and is a very convenient focal length for a walk-a-round lens.

Versatility, sharp focus, decent bokeh

My wife and I shoot occasional events and this lens makes it easy to pack light. Granted, the 18-105 is not "fast" so we don't always get the best low-light performance (though high ISO on the new Nikons is amazing). We mainly use this lens for outdoor events or indoors with a flash.

Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight; Nice Bokeh; Strong Construction

Got this lens as a part of a D7000 kit since I couldn't buy a body only. The lens was very soft, had allot of barrel distortion and vignetting. The build quality was ok for a kit lens.

Cheap; good zoom range; VR

Plastic mount; soft; vignetting; CA; barrel distortion; slow focus in low light

Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR

One of the main attractions of this lens is a useful and versatile focal range that goes from true wide angle to true telephoto.

Quality versatile lens that offers superior performance to bundled lenses

Great zoom for everyday use. Nicely weighted. A little larger and heavier than bundled 18-55mm. Image quality appears significantly better than bundled lens.

I got mine as the kit lens with my D7000. All around I am very happy with the quality and sharpness of this lens. It covers a great range picture possibilities.

Photos Come Alive with 105

My Nikon D500 kit came with an 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens. This 18-105 lens is becoming my lens of choice- higher zoom than the 18-55 without the camera shake factor of the 55-200. (Don't get me wrong, the other lenses have their uses too.

Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight

I can think of nothing negative about this lens. It takes inside close up pictures better than any other lens I have ever used. [...].
