This is excellent lens i ever had, take very good picture, alway goes around with my d7000.Lens builds very good quality, nice balance, bulk feel like a tank
I originally thought my Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 VC, which everyone claims is 95% as good as the 17-55 , could get me through whatever I encountered. Didn't happen. I purchased a Nikon 80-200mm F/2.8 two ring right before a wedding, and was blown away by the quality.
Super Sharp, great color and contrast; No contest vs Tamron 17-50 F/2.8 VC
Some people may be put off by the size/weight of a pro lens (not me :D
Made a review in July 2013 when I first bought this gem ... been through a couple of cameras since and now been having the D500 for over a year now ... photos are sharper than ever and now that I can take photos with little light with the D500, I've done some crazy high ISO with hardly any grain...
The lens is Great. One of my favorite lenses. It very very very sharp and fast. I love the weight of the lens. It better than Nikon 28-70 f/2.8 that i used alot on film:) And it's alot sharper that nikon 20-35 f/2.8,it almost as sharp as Nikon 85mm f/1.4 I lOVE IT SO MUSH:)
IT's sharp sharp sharp; IT's fest fest fest; I love weight of the lens:):
THE price i think
I take my lens on boats and underwater: it is great for close action shots both above and below the surface, and resists the rigors of travel. AF with my D200 is no problem. I am waiting with bated breath to try it with a D300s in a new housing.
Consistent Output; Durable; Sharp Focus; Strong Construction
I've drooled over this lens for a while now, read all the reviews reports etc, but was always out of reach. Finally was able to afford it and upgraded from my 18-70 f3:5 DX. To say that I was blown away by the results is an understatement, the handling and feel on the D300 is so right.
This lens has changed everything for me!! I sold off my former variable lenses and primes in favor of this 17-55 f2.8. No regrets!!! It's a game changer!!!
This lens is all that and then some. Purchased it specifically for portrait work and weddings. Worth every cent!!! Buy it!!
This lens gives me clear and bright and sharp pictures. I highly recommend!
Enhances creativity as it is very flexible; its very smooth to operate; and responds at a great speed
Nothing wrong
