Ultra wide picture angle of 180 degrees on DX sensor achieved by producing a smaller image circle (the size of the image that is projected by the lens on to the sensor) enabling smaller lens diameter, lighter weight and optimal image quality from center-to edge-to-corner on the image.

Good lens

Good lens even years later after having dropped and broken it. It still works and produces a clear image even though i can see a concoidal fracture inside.

Nikon AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED

The Nikon AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED ($774.95) is one of those lenses that's just a joy to use. When paired with a DX Nikon SLR , the svelte prime captures the world in front of it with a curved, fish-eye perspective.
Pros:
  • Compact
  • Ultra-wide fish-eye
  • Very sharp
  • Close focus capability
Cons:
  • Pricey
  • Lacks internal focus motor
  • Shows some color fringing

Nikon AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED Review

The Nikon AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED lens allows you to capture the world in a unique perspective, but it only autofocuses with select Nikon SLRs. The Nikon AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED ($774.95) is one of those lenses that's just a joy to use. When paired with a DX Nikon SLR, the svelte prime captures the world in front of it with a curved, fish-eye perspective. It can focus very close, produces crisp images, and features the build quality you expect from a Nikon lens. But it's not without some drawbacks, notably its price and the lack of autofocus support in entry-level SLRs like the D5500. There are less expensive alternatives out there, like the Samyang 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye ($279) and the Lensbaby Circular Fisheye, although the latter features a more extreme field of view that doesn't entirely fill the frame. DesignThe 10.5mm is a svelte lens, measuring about 2.5 by 2.5 inches (HD) and barely tipping the scales at a meager 10.8 ounces. Fun gimick lens

This little lens is just right for some flavor shots, but certainly not the only lens you should own. It's a little slow, a little soft, but has all the character and fun-factor you'll need to sweeten up a wedding reception. If you're thinking of buying it, do it! You'll be glad you did.

I love this lens

I love this lens. It's probably my new favourite, even if not the most practical, and with its small size and relatively slight weight it never leaves my kit bag. My Tokina 11-20mm f/2.8 is a fantastic lens and very wide, but the extremely close focusing distance and 180 degree FoV of this fisheye...

Great almost fisheye...

On a DX body minimal edge fall off, not the super wide angles of years ago however not the price of them. Anyone that needs the maximum wide angle for a DX body this is the lens. Nikon Qualify. I have used only Nikon product since 1964 and am a retired Medical Photographer.

DX Fisheye.

This is a Niche lens for DX cameras. It's about as wide a lens you're going to get for a Nikon.
