Nikon SE 10x42 SE

These are considered the best view of any 10x made by many reviewers. See Better View Desired, etc. These are truly world class and compete well with the $1600 binoculars. I was surprised by the size, they are smaller and lighter than I imagined but the case is a bit large.

A Great Name, A Great Product

These binoculars provide great magnification, excellent resolution, and superb clarity. From observing Big Horn Sheep in the Rocky Mountains to identifying birds in the back yard, these have performed perfectly and are a pleasure to use. Focus is fast and smooth.

Close Focus; Compact; Quality Lenses; Strong Construction

Nikon Monarch ATB Realtree 10x42

Good Product. Not cheap, but not going to drain the bank account either. Lightweight and not noticeable when you are wearing them. Make sure to keep the warranty card and the recipt should you need to send them in for repairs.

These binoculars are light, compact; They are crisp and clear and have the adjustable eyecups for those of you wearing glasses; The price was right, they were not cheap, but they aren't $1800 either.

Couple of things I have had problems with; I may be a little rough on my equiptment, but it gets used a lot; I have had issues with the twist out eyecups; If they get dirty, or knocked around a little bit, they stuck either up or down, and had a slight angle to them.

In October, 1996, I purchased a pair of Nikon 10X42 Superior "E" porro-prism binoculars. Although I got them through Le Naturaliste in Quebec, they actually came direct from Nikon in Toronto, since Le Naturalist does not stock them.
