Mortal Kombat X

Anyone who was alive and gaming in the '90s, when Mortal Kombat was a legitimate cultural phenomenon, remembers how the franchise's savage ultraviolence felt dangerous and defiant.

Mortal Kombat X

When you talk about fighting games, you have to mention Mortal Kombat at all costs, as this is one of the most impressive games in this genre. With Mortal Kombat X, the series is taken to the next generation consoles, and I have to say that it does a stellar introduction in this regard.

Mortal Kombat X Review

The last Mortal Kombat game was a revelation and plucked the series back from the depths of despair (MK VS DC) into a great alternative to the Japanese heavyweights. It also showed that story modes could be achieved in a 2D fighter. So much so that MKX has a lot of expectations on its shoulders.

Mortal Kombat X

If the third time's the charm, then the tenth time must be the camp. On April 14th, 2015 NetherRealm studios unleashed Mortal Kombat X on all of EarthRealm's inhabitants. After nine previous main-title installments, many were concerned that the new title would be more of the same with a new coat of...

Mortal Kombat X

Back in the 90s, when video game violence was far tamer than it is today, Mortal Kombat pushed the boundary in every regard. Its violence was not just part of its appeal, but was a big reason why kids would wait hours on end to get a chance to play it in arcades.

Easy to learn fighting system; Visually compelling brutality; Lots of unlockable content

Cut scenes in Story Mode a tad long; Lacking a few iconic characters

Mortal Kombat X Review – Gruesome, Gory and Worthy of All the Pre-Release Hype

There are only a small number of video game franchises that strike me with nostalgia and Mortal Kombat is certainly one of them. Picking up the controller I am almost instantly transported back to my 14 year old self. I'm in a dark arcade mercilessly yelling ‘FINISH HIM!

Although I haven't been the biggest Mortal Kombat fan throughout my life, I still hold the franchise quite dear to my heart, as it was one of the first console games I ever played.

Everyone has that one game franchise that they love unconditionally; the one that they manage to find enjoyment in, no matter how bad the individual release. For me, that is and always has been Mortal Kombat.

Mortal Kombat X Review

Mortal Kombat has always been utterly bonkers, but if you'd told me in 1992 that I'd be performing quick-time event fights during cut-scenes of the story mode of MK, it'd have probably blown my young

Fast; smooth combat; Nicest visuals to date; Superb solo campaign

In-game purchases are in your face; Online isn't perfect; and is region locked on PS4; Fatalities may go too far for some
