Good game
Good for fps lovers. Not for everyone.. Delivery and packing of the product was superb by Amazon.

75% cursing; 20% reloading after a fail; 5% actually playing
Most games have an inherent learning curve to the controls. Then, after awhile, you adapt, the control structure gets out of the way, and you can simply enjoy the challenge of the game itself. Mirror's Edge Catalyst is not one of those games. Oh, there's a learning curve, to be sure.

Mirror's Edge's return shines in some regards, but is ultimately a disappointment.

Xbox One Review: Mirror's Edge Catalyst
There are moments of this game that come off very serene. If the job of a video game is to relieve stress, this game brings that with spades. At least, that is until you start tackling some of the random side quests with far too tight time restrictions, or navigating the confusing maze of a map once...

Fun run.
There are moments when all of Mirror's Edge Catalyst's components fall into place, moments when intricate level design allows the fluid freerunning to shine, the mission at hand delivers a memorable set piece, or the open world surprises with a cleverly hidden area.
Pros:
- Satisfying
- nuanced movement mechanics
- Rewarding open-world exploration
- Huge mix of worthwhile side content
Cons:
- Clunky though largely avoidable combat
- Mediocre storytelling

Overall, the things that make Mirror's Edge Catalyst a bigger experience makes it a bit lackluster. The fighting, while better, is still bland and repetitive. Exploring the world can bring the fast moving gameplay down to a crawl as you try and find new areas.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst
Faith is very young here, just being released from a juvenile detention facility after being caught on a run. She is a professional courier delivering messages from rooftop to rooftop in the futuristic city of Glass, where the government has complete control over electronic information.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst review
EA and DICE have finally launched a follow-up to cult classic Mirror's Edge; join Ben as he dusts off Faith's old red running shoes.
Pros:
- Fantastic art and level design makes Glass a pleasure to run around
- Highly polished parkour system
- Combat works well in hit-and-run encounters
- Plenty for explorers and competitive gamers
- Puzzle-platform rooms are neat
Cons:
- Character progression system is pointless
- Story predictable and humourless
- Combat doesn't work in stand-and-fight situations, which are too common
- Side missions and activities are awfully samey

The first-person perspective has a great deal of potential for truly immersing the player in an experience. Many games use this advantage for greater impact with horrific imagery, more excitement in set pieces, and a sense of involvement in puzzles.

Game Review: Mirror's Edge Catalyst
When the first Mirror's Edge released in 2008, wasn't what we'd call " Ground-Breaking ", but the acclaim it garnered and the innovations it brought to the table was anything but.
Pros:
- Detailed Character Models
- Innovative Combat System
- Fluid Gameplay
- Solar Fields Excellent Soundtrack
Cons:
- Underdeveloped Stories
- Lifeless City
- Boring Characters
