I've used this wireless mouse for 4 years and it did work well. Proper size (not too small), light weight (only needs battery x1), smooth scroll wheel and great last page button on the left side of the mouse.

The only complaint about this mouse is that middle clicking on the scroll wheel is a bit of a 'hit and miss'.
The Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 is Microsoft's latest travel mouse. It offers many of the same features as the Explorer Mini , but does so for $20 less. This $40 device also uses Bluetrack sensing technology, which lets you use it accurately across a variety of surfaces that a normal laser mouse just...
Bluetrack technology tracks on almost any surface; "Power" slider conserves battery; right and left hand compatible; contoured shape; transceiver attaches to undercarriage
Limited battery life of nonrechargeable AA batteries; smooth vertical rocker lacks precision; pricier than other mobile mice
I hope Microsoft will consider a new material for the wheel grip. After just over one year of daily use, the wheel began sticking. Scrolling the wheel came with a lot of resistance. Another 6 months later, rubber shavings have nearly plugged the gap on either side of the wheel.
I am not sure of this is worth the money. It probably is but did not quite provide the extra difference a premium mouse should offer. There is nothing wrong with it; more nothing especially right with it. The fact that it is better than OK probably means I am being fussy.
