I just reviewed the Rapoo Wireless Stereo Headset H8030 the other day, and I remarked how not very often it was that I got to review a non-Bluetooth, desktop-or-laptop only headset. Well, it looks like when it rains, it pours.
I purchased this headset for use when working remotely as facilitate a lot of conference calls using VOIP technology. I need a wired version when traveling so that I do not have to worry about charging the headset. This particular headset did not perform well. The sound quality was poor.
I had an H530 which I used daily for about a year, then the mic quit working. (Short/intermittent). I bought the H540 to replace it & now have the same problem after only about 4 months. The quality in the mic is very poor. Wire breaks way too easy. Will be sending this back to Logitech.
When I got these I was happy with the sound quality, accuracy of the mic and it's positioning and the functionality of the volume and mute controls. After a few days of use, the cushion design began to cause discomfort and I found myself constantly adjusting the position of the headphones just to...
I bought these Logitech H540s to replace another brand that I found to be uncomfortable to wear for any extended period of time. This headset is comfortable to wear, has clear sound, and was easy to set up. Plug an play is great! :D
Excellent product , good quality sound and both spoken and received sound quality – Well worth the money , I have even bought a new one as a spare
My son thinks they are good, they could do with a little more support around the ears.
Pretty good headset. I wouldn't use it as a main headset, but it makes an excellent back-up or travel-mic. Plus you can buy the things just about everywhere.
Going to open this up by saying that nothing about this headset is great, but that in just about every way conceivable its good; 1; Sound: good but not great; Not near enough bass for listening to hip hop or techno, but Rock, Metal, Country, etc should all sound fine.
1; Comfort: let it be known that this headset is many things, but comfortable is not one of them; When used for extended periods of time, my ears tend to get crushed against my temples, and usually need to take them off after around an hour.
Comparing this headset 540 vs the 340, and found the build quality of the 540 was significantly better. The USB plug doesn't look like it will fall apart anytime soon. I found that frustrating about the 340. Also more quick and easy features, such as adjusting volume and turning mic on or off.
This is a good headset for the price. I you want all the extras you are going to have to pay more.
