Engadget China are claiming that this is Logitech's new G18 gaming keyboard, which would make sense as a name except for the fact that by convention Logitech's gaming peripherals have always had odd numbers.

We were big fans of Logitech's two-color LCD-equipped G15 gaming keyboard, but we can't say we find that the addition of a color screen justifies the $200 price tag for the updated G19 model.

The G19 is a costly keyboard that relies on software installed on your system for most of its magic. With the drivers installed, and on operating systems for which the driver is not available its special features don't function at all.

Costing anywhere from $100 to $200, the Logitech G19s could be for any PC gamer or for someone that just needs a lot of extra key binds. Offering 12 extra "G" keys is a big advantage for MMO players. A tiltable color LCD display offers a variety of display options.

I have an i7 on an X58 platform, and this has worked perfectly. i7 965 @ 3.8ghz. So not sure why the other reviewer had a problem. I really like this keyboard, the screen is amazing, and the keys feel great. I didn't buy it to record macros and such, but maybe I'll learn how.

The only thing that the G19 has that nobody else does is the LCD screen then and, while being able to scan RSS feeds and have image slideshows on your keyboard is kind of cool, it's not something that anyone actually needs – nor something that we'd pay over £100 for.

Other than the LCD not supporting secure POP3 accounts like gmail, the keyboard is good. I love the feel of the keypresses -- much better than other Logitech keyboards that I have owned. It also doesn't feel as flimsy as some of the other Logitech keyboards.

I have a G15 also. And the keystroke is just as clean and easy. the LCD screen is very clear, and a blast to play with. If you MMO nothing will beat this keyboard.
