The LEGO Movie Videogame
This video game could go down as one of the worst titled games in history, almost eclipsing Battleship: The Movie: The Game (the game about the movie about the board game). This video game could also go down as one of the best movie-based games in history.
Pros:
- Hilarious dialogue
- fun gameplay
- clever puzzles
- and avoiding a key movie spoiler make this one of the best movie-based video games as well as one of the best LEGO games
Cons:
- Those who haven't seen the movie will not completely understand what is going on in the game or truly appreciate many of the in-game jokes

The Lego Movie Videogame review – everything is (mostly)?awesome
It goes completely against the spirit of the movie but at least the game is able to celebrate the creativity of its developers, if not its players.
Pros:
- One of the better direct movie adaptations of recent years, married to the time-honoured Lego gameplay
- Great script, good graphics, and lots of variety in characters and locations
Cons:
- Smaller in scope and with less content than the other recent games
- Combat is especially simplistic this time round
- Ruins all the movie's best jokes if you play the game first

Where LEGO City Undercover delivered a great solo experience in a sandbox and LEGO Marvel Superheroes delivered lots of characters, The LEGO Movie Videogame seems happy enough with providing the usual two player co-op that TT Games does so well.

This game has surprised me so much I felt I had to leave a review. Firstly, this is easily the best LEGO game I've ever played just beating LEGO City: Undercover by a small margin and secondly this may just be the best movie tie-in game ever too!

Brilliant, best one yet.
Great game, If you've played the Lego video games before then you will know what to expect, lots of missions, lots of building and lots of destruction. My boy of 10 has had pretty much all the lego games and we reckon this is head and shoulders above the rest, loads of characters with varying powers...

The LEGO Movie Videogame Review
extends a concise and hilarious film into a much longer and less consistent interactive experience that sometimes dips into boring territory. Amusing scenarios and eye-catching environments are a plus, as is the wide unlockable hero roster, but most of the missions feel like an unimaginative retread...
Pros:
- Nice location variety
- Great film cutscenes
- Diverse heroes
Cons:
- Undemanding action
- Some boring levels
