As the name of this game clearly suggests, The Lego Movie Videogame is based directly from its movie counterpart. So with that in mind, for those that plan on watching the movie, obviously there will be spoilers ahead.
The entire world is made from Lego; Looks great; Cheerful fun as always; Has some awesome cameos; You can invert the camera at long last
World is much linear to the likes of DC Super Heroes
With countless new sets being released, and an increasing stream of videogames, the Lego company has had a fantastic couple of years.
Great addition to the movie; Usual Lego mischief
Shorter than previous titles; Simple puzzles
LEGO's latest film has just released in cinemas, and with it comes the companion video game. The LEGO Ninjago Movie seems to be struggling at the box office, which is a pity as it's a fun flick filled with reference for fans of kung fu movies.
Looks good; New ninja abilities and fighting styles to master; 'True ninja' bar carries across the entire game; Lots to do and unlock; Numerous gameplay improvements over previous LEGO games
Long load times; Removes much of the humour and many of the character moments present in the film

Nice location variety; Great film cutscenes; Diverse heroes
Undemanding action; Some boring levels

The Lego Movie Videogame is lacking the charm of other Lego games because it's already based on a Lego property. It's basically a drawn out, interactive version of the movie that inherently can't capture the fun of recreating another universe in Lego, and doesn't do much by way of gameplay to makeup...
+ Looks pretty good; + True to the film; + Lego gameplay is always solid; + Co-op
- Lego version of Lego doesn't work; - Boring missions; - Lacklustre action; - Drawing upon little source material
A very fun game for the kids and some adults, it has co-op and shares the same screen… My hours op play-ability on this title
