Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 review – building new heroes

One of the best Lego games of the entire series, with a dizzying array of bizarre characters and some genuinely compelling gameplay for younger players.

Wonderful cast of heroes and villains and a great sense of humour; Excellent animation and good portrayal of powers; Tons of content, fun open world environment, and great co-op

The usual bugs and glitches threaten to kick in at any moment; Side quests would quickly get repetitive if not for the humour and characters; No real reward for skilful play

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2: review

The LEGO games have utilised a vast array of franchises over the years, from huge properties like Star Wars and Harry Potter individually, to the 1980s TV shows Knight Rider and the A-Team in LEGO Dimensions.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (PlayStation 4) Review

This feels like a true sequel to 2013's LEGO Marvel Super Heroes , and that is both a positive and a negative. Just like its predecessor, it is stuffed to bursting with fan-service and it delivers the signature fun LEGO gameplay elements that have always been core to these titles.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2: "A love letter to Marvel wrapped up in the best Lego game yet"

A few technical hiccups and minor quibbles aside, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 tops off a great year for comic book properties with a fun, varied adventure.

The humour is on par with anything in the MCU; Generous amount of side content; Full of fresh ideas

Technical issues; including glitches and frame-rate drops; Tedious boss battles

The long-awaited sequel to 2013's LEGO Marvel Super Heroes arrives this week, and it delivers more LEGO fun with a huge cast of Marvel characters. This time around, the world is under threat from Kang the Conqueror, a being of immense power who breaks the boundaries of space and time to combine a...

Massive open world to explore; Huge roster of characters to unlock; Fun story with lots of variety

Some framerate and camera issues; A few annoying fights with too-powerful henchmen; Please give us a dedicated ranged attack button

LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 Review

doesn't deviate much from the established LEGO template, but its wide variety of settings, heroes, and abilities make it constantly fun to play, especially in co-op. The combat is still quite simple and it's sometimes difficult to tell what you should do next, but the story is lighthearted and fun...

These Lego games may not be the best ever games released, but they are loveable in their own way!

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 – Review

If there's one thing you can guarantee during these times of uncertainty, it's that the next LEGO game is never more than a few months away. You can more or less rely on them being superhero flavoured nowadays too, which is fine by us.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 Review

I'm not alone in thinking that TT Games and its Lego series don't always get the respect that either deserve . For all the talk about the games being formulaic, each maintains a tricky balance between staying true to what fans expect from the brand and bringing in enough new features to keep things...

Classic Lego gameplay; with some great additions; Huge line-up of mighty Marvel heroes and villains; Well-designed missions; Strange and varied open world
