Jaybird Vista

For $180, Jaybird's Vista earphones deliver powerful audio in a waterproof build, with a useful app that lets you tune the sound to your liking. We'd like to see even longer battery life, but other than that there is very little to complain about here.

Strong audio performance with boosted bass and crisp highs; App features user-adjustable EQ; IPX7 waterproof; Secure fit for exercise

Limited on-ear controls

Jaybird Vista True Wireless Sport Headphones - Black 985-000874 review

The Jaybird Vista is a nice, comfortable upgrade over the company's earlier models. But it's a tad too expensive in a true wireless headphone market where prices continue to drop.

The Jaybird Vista buds fit securely; They're lightweight, comfortable and sound quite good; They're fully waterproof and come with a USB-C compact charging case; Battery life is decent at 6 hours, with 10 additional hours from the case.

A little pricey; There's no transparency mode to allow ambient sound in.

Jaybird Vista True Wireless Sport Headphones - Black 985-000874 review

Music motivates me to run faster and further so I rarely run without something playing from a connected smartphone or music-enabled watch. Jaybird was one of the first fitness-focused audio brands I tested ten years ago.

Comfortable silicone fin/eartip design; Lightweight for long wear comfort; Smartphone software for optimal sound/button settings; Compact case with lanyard and soft touch finish; Standard USB-C port for charging case; IPx7 water and sweat resistance; 6 hour rated battery life

Jaybird Vista Review

Earlier this year, Jaybird scored solid marks with its $179.99 Run XT true wireless earphones. The company's new wire-free Vista earphones debut at the same price, and deliver similarly powerful bass depth and crisp highs with customizable EQ. Also like the Run XT (and all Jaybird earphones), they feature an exercise-friendly, waterproof build. Aside from slightly better battery life, there really isn't much of a difference between the two pairs, but the Vista are replacing the Run XT, so we're giving them the same high score, though there are lots of strong options in this price range. Design Available in black, with black eartips and a matte finish (blue and gray versions are expected later this year), the earphones have a somewhat boxy build that is nevertheless both lightweight and very secure in the ear. They uses a full-sleeve eartip, meaning instead of separate fins and tips, the pairs are all one piece, with fins protruding. Three pairs are included, varying in size for bo...
