Jabra Elite 85H : Stylish and functional headphones

Jabra’s new ANC headphones take aim at Sony and Bose

Excellent battery life; Convenient auto-pause technology; Stylish;

Performance doesn’t match the Sony WH-1000XM3; Not as comfortable as the Bose QC35; Expensive;

Jabra Elite 85h review: Undercutting the competition

Premium noise cancelling headphones that may succeed at undercutting the competition.

Good noise cancelling; Water-resistant nano-coating; Auto ear detection; Bluetooth 5 and multi-connect; Quick charging

No high-quality codecs; Best Buy exclusive

Jabra Elite 85h review: like the rest, but not the best

Jabra's Elite 85h are worth considering for many of the same reasons you might want Sony's 1000X M3, Bose's QC35, or one of the other models in our roundup of the best wireless headphones .

30-hour battery life with noise canceling on; Noise canceling is effective; Automatically pause when you take them off

Sound quality lags the Sony 1000X M3; SmartSound feature suffers too many false positives in noisy city; The large ear cups look bulky

Hands On: Jabra Elite 85h Wireless ANC Headphones

I've got an insanely long airplane trip coming up and, no surprise, my very first thought was, which noise-canceling headphones should I bring for the flight Great news for me; Jabra just released the Elite 85h.

Jabra Elite 85H

The Jabra Elite 85H look to be solidly built and come with some great features that may mean they can rival the best from Sony and Bose.

Incredible battery life; Dominant ANC performance

Not cheap; Feel quite heavy

Jabra ELITE 85h ANC Headphones Review

The ELITE 85h may not be the best looking pair of headphones in the market and they are somewhat bulky compared to what Jabra has gotten us used to over the years but after two weeks of testing we can verify that they do excel in terms of audio performance (not to mention build quality) with crystal...

Review: Jabra's Elite 85h noise-cancelling headphones are winners

Noise-cancelling headphones are popular among business travelers, those in loud, open office spaces, and frequent commuters for a reason: they make life just a little bit less stressful.

Audio A reasonably bass-forward profile with balanced mids and highs make the 85h noticeably different than Bose's headphones; and I think they're just more pleasant to listen to; Battery Jabra rates the 85h for 36 hours of music playback with ANC turned on; and I've had no reason to doubt it.

Weight The 85h have a larger battery and substantially sturdier headband than most wireless headphones; so they're pretty bulky (though I never found them uncomfortable); Price; again $300 is a lot of dough for most people to drop on headphones; and cheaper ANC over-ears do exist; Limited Assistant...

Sometimes a bit of tech comes along that you're curious about, very excited for and you also have some apprehension about the delivery of and the Jabra Elite 85H fits perfectly in that box for me.

It was exciting when Jabra announced its latest Bluetooth headphones at CES earlier this year. The $300 Jabra Elite 85h look like a beefed-up version of the company's well-reviewed Move wireless headphones , and inside there's an intriguing surprise: artificially intelligent noise-canceling...
