HyperX Cloud Revolver Multi-platform E-Sports Gaming Wire Headset with Removable Microphone

With the revolve Kingston stepped away from the great design of the original Clouds and decided to go in a new (more gamey) design direction. According to my source at Kingston one of the goals was to open up the sound stage more, something closer to open back in effect.

Decent Bass; good sound stage; comfortable

Mic is not very good; headband has a ring that is easy to hear

Incredibly dissapointing quality for price.

I bought this after hearing how great the HyperX brand, expecting top of the line quality. However, I was incredibly disappointed with the quality of it, to the point where I almost immediately returned it. Maximum volume is incredibly low on this headset.

The Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver is the latest headset in Kingston's product family. Kingston's gaming headset line up has grown to four different models which feature both 3.5mm and USB connectivity.

For anyone that has read all of the previous pages it will be clear that we are not entirely convinced by the new headset from Kingston. The HyperX Cloud Revolver is certainly not bad, that should be clear.

HyperX Cloud Revolver Gaming Headset

The HyperX Cloud Revolver is a high end stereo headset that can be used with just about any device thanks to its use of the 3.5mm audio jack... sorry iPhone 7 users. The closed, over the ear design with 50mm drivers creates a studio-grade sound stage, which allows you to better locate an opponent if...

Super comfortable; Incredible sound quality; 2 year warranty

Some may find the aesthetics over the top; Occasional creak from headband

There's no external 7.1 audio USB sound card, but the sound quality isn't that different from the Cloud II. However, the Cloud Revolver is very comfortable to wear and is multi-platform, allowing you to use it with next-gen consoles too.

Comfortable; Good mic; Solid build

Not quite meant for music

HyperX Cloud Revolver Gunmetal gaming headset review

Although not the most prominent of the sensory functions, hearing plays an important role in our lives. Those of us who enjoy music also enjoy it more with a high-quality audio delivery. Those old tunes from your teenage years can take you back to those days like nothing else can.

Flexible cords; Full metal frame that encircles the earpieces; Detachable; flexible; noise-canceling microphone; Closed-back ear cups don't allow much sound to escape and annoy other people; Ear pads work fine with glasses

Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver Gaming Headset Review

Kingston has release two predecessors to this gaming headset which were both quite effective, but since both didn't use the same sound performance technology as the new HyperX Cloud Revolver, you really can't get the latest features that they've worked so hard to release.

Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver

The Cloud Revolver is solid gaming headset, but its price lands it above most of the market's current offerings.

Lightweight; Comfortable; Clear and crisp sound quality

Pricey; Lack of portability

HyperX Cloud Revolver review: New look, new sound, higher price

The biggest problem with the HyperX Cloud line is that it hit such a high point the first time around. Great performance, cheap price-it's hard to top that. The HyperX Cloud Revolver isn't a bad headset-it's more comfortable than the original HyperX, albeit barely, and has a stunning, if borrowed,...
