HyperX Cloud Revolver S review: A costly improvement to the original Cloud Revolver headset

With new EQ features and a better control box, HyperX improves the original Cloud Revolver. But at $150? The Cloud Revolver S is one of the most expensive wired headsets we’ve ever reviewed, and doesn’t earn that price.
Pros:
  • Still has the Cloud line’s signature audio
  • New EQ settings built into the control box
  • Better noise cancellation in the microphone
Cons:
  • Metal band still reverberates when touched
  • 7.1 performance isn’t up to par with competitors
  • Overly expensive when compared feature-to-feature with competitors

Better hyper x model for big head users

Very comfy and lightweight. They feel durable and fit tighter than the cloud ii or alphas. They also sound really good used on console. Much better than Sennheiser game zero that I had.

I mean

It's a nice headset that looks like it will last a while and it sounds good, but I only use this for ps4 and I think the playstation golds sounded alot better.

Amazing Headset, you won't regret purchasing!

There's so much choice when buying a gaming headset, I finally settled on this one and have not once regretted it since! The soundscape is fantastic and totally transforms games, movies and music, plus is very comfy to wear. The cable is very long but that's only a minor drawback. Overall would highly recommend! 5/5

DESIGN FLAWS - MIC won't keep a connection!

HyperX Cloud Revolver S Gaming Headset with Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound. I wanted to like these headphones. I truly did. After all, there is a LOT to like (other than the $149.00 price tag).

Lacking in comfort and surround feature not worth extra $30.

Previously i was using Razer kraken 7.1 and they are 2x cheaper than revolver s, comfort, audio quality were much better on those, however i can say that revolver s really has nice build quality, looks nice.

I love it

Beautiful quality headphones worth the price. Ther surround sound is lovely, but the additional adaptors do make the cord a little excessively long

Shocking

This was the second pair I bought- within 2 months- that experienced the following problem. Nearly every time I moved I'd receive a small electrical shock to either ear. Furthermore, when this shock occurred the USB port, to which the headphones were attached, would fail.
