Not bad, but far from being the best

In short I expected much more from this phone, but for the price it's the right choice I guess, it has many things right, but also there's some things that are missing, like the stability of video recording in 4k, the smoothness of the UI, the slippery glass back

Huawei Mate 10 review

The Huawei Mate 10 won't even be a consideration for anyone in the UK or the US right now given its limited availability, but if you're reading this in Australia or another region it will be available, and are in the market for a big phone, it should definitely be a contender.

Premium design; Quality camera; Powerful chipset

No real waterproofing; EMUI not for everyone; No wireless charging

Huawei Mate 10

The Huawei Mate 10 sits alongside the Mate 10 Pro at the top of Huawei's 2017 phone lineup, offering a big phone with a heap of features. Given the latter's branding, you might assume that the regular Mate 10 – featuring a pretty boring LCD, not OLED, screen, less RAM and half the storage – is the...

Takes good pictures in low light; Great performance; Very good battery life

EMUI software is a pain

Review: Huawei Mate 10 smart phone

Huawei's Mate 10 phone has a big screen and some advanced features that make it quite the bargain at $899. And it's available from tomorrow – 15 November 2017 – from Vodafone and other places.

Great value for money; effective docking; Android 8.0; excellent 2x zoom camera

Not waterproof

Huawei is quickly becoming a dominant name in the Android game both internationally and here in Australia, in fact they are ranked the second or third smartphone manufacturer in the world (depending on the month).

Nice phone

I bought this to replace my Nexus 6P due to battery issues. The Mate 10 has a similar large screen but is physically smaller due to less bezel-win. The touch screen is responsive and the loading time for apps is fast enough, but perhaps a bit slower than on my Nexus.

Review: Huawei Mate 10

Huawei has traditionally used its Mate series phones as the flagships of the range, and 2017 is no exception, with not one, but two devices: the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. The Mate 10 – the subject of this review – continues the design language of last year's P10/P10 Plus, with rounded edges and a...

The photos below were captured using the dual camera system of the Mate 10, which comprises a 12MP f/1.6 RGB sensor , a 20MP f/1.6 monochrome sensor, and Leica Summilux-H lenses. They were taken straight from the camera without any post-processing. Pretty impressive, isn't it?

Bright; large; and vibrant display; Stellar performance; Very impressive Leica dual camera system; Strong battery life

AI-related features not fully utilized (yet; Glass back prone to scratches and fingerprints

Impressive

Just received my phone and so far, I'm really impressed. I had the Axon 7 mini and so this was a big purchase for me but for the few hours I've had it, I'm happy I bought it!
