Horizon Zero Dawn Review

Across a vast and beautiful open world, Zero Dawn juggles many moving parts with polish and finesse. Its main activity - combat - is extremely satisfying thanks to the varied design and behaviors of machine-creatures that roam its lands, each of which needs to be taken down with careful...

Horizon Zero Dawn Review

'Horizon Zero Dawn' nails every aspect of the open-world action RPG, including robot dinosaur hunting.

Rich; compelling world-building; Visceral; tactical action; Gorgeous visuals and music; Refreshing diversity

Rote open-world RPG mechanics; Terrible title

Horizon Zero Dawn

Explore a unique world of machine like animals in Horizon Zero Dawn an action role playing title with a setting unlike anything before as it blends the primitive and the advanced into one. Playing as Aloy, a female hunter who lives within a world ravaged by robots. Representing a time period ap...

Horizon: Zero Dawn: "A world that begs you to explore every corner"

An open-world that tailors to each and every interest, Horizon: Zero Dawn keeps combat fresh, with an intriguing protagonist to match.

Stunning open world imploring you to explore; Hunt however you choose; Intricate fights with robot animals

Jumping and melee attacks are a tad slow

A sizable new adventure for Aloy in a frozen wilderness that gives Horizon fans more of what they love.

Large new area to explore; gorgeous graphics; challenging new enemies; good side characters

Areas are necessarily not as varied as the main game; control towers feel like a weak addition; new skill tree is kind of a letdown; main cast is just okay

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds

It speaks volumes about the kind of endlessly fascinating world that Guerilla Games built with Horizon Zero Dawn that the game's first expansion, The Frozen Wilds , could be considered a worthwhile addition to the core game just by giving players a new piece of magnificently rendered countryside to...

Horizon Zero Dawn

Guerilla Games has been known solely for Killzone for well over a decade. It's a series I've personally loved since it debuted in 2004, even though it's been considered by many to be overshadowed by its competitors.

The most gorgeous console game ever made; So much stuff to do; An engaging story

Waypointing can be a little iffy

I have a confession: when I first saw Horizon Zero Dawn back in 2015 I let out a big ostentatious yawn to signal that I was unimpressed.

Compelling; Sprawling environment; Stunning in 4K; So much to do

Watch out for 'side-quest fatigue

Horizon Zero Dawn review

Guerrilla Games' punt on a new IP has paid off handsomely, as despite its silly title, Horizon Zero Dawn is a magnificent open world action-adventure that lives up to its hype.

A visual feast; Challenging yet highly enjoyable combat; A wonderful story

Slow start; Some jarring voice acting

Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition

Well, there were a ridiculous amount of great games released last year, and we've finally had time to confirm that Horizon: Zero Dawn is one of them. More so when you take The Frozen Wilds DLC into account; which is brilliant, hosts many improvements, and quite handily is part of the complete...
