HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 All-in-One Printer

There's a lot to like about HP's OfficeJet 8730. It's fast and it prints well overall at a reasonable cost per page. In fact, if it printed business graphics a little better and didn't have such a high list price, it would easily dethrone Epson's WF-4720 as our Editors' Choice.
Pros:
  • Fast
  • Impressive print quality
  • Highly competitive running costs
  • Very well-built
  • 50-sheet one-pass duplexing ADF
  • Laser-like security features
  • Versatile connectivity
Cons:
  • Pricey compared with competitors
  • Support for borderless prints limited to A4 and letter-size
  • Only one paper input source

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 All-in-One Printer Review

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 is an excellent inkjet all-in-one printer that's up to the task of replacing the color laser AIO in your small office. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 All-in-One Printer ($349.99) is a medium-volume business-oriented inkjet all-in-one (AIO) designed for small to midsize offices and workgroups, as well as home-based offices. It comes with a few more productivity and convenience features than the Editors' Choice Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4720 does, such as an auto-duplexing (and higher-capacity) automatic document feeder (ADF), but it also lists for almost twice as much. Otherwise, the OfficeJet 8730 is fast, prints well, is better-constructed than most of its competitors, and it comes with a slew of attractive features. If you can justify the higher price, it's a terrific business-oriented all-in-one office appliance. A Superb Color Laser AIO Alternative HP bills the OfficeJet 8730 as a 5-in-1 AIO: It can print, copy, scan, fax, and connect to the web. While nearly all of today's networkable printers access the web, and many support web apps for streamlining functions and creating one-touch workflow profil...

Cheaply Made Product

I bought a HP Officejet Pro 276dw Multifunction Printer back in 2015, this model is not in production anymore. Until now this printer still works well. Unlike this HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 All-in-One Printer which I bought in 2016. It literally says the printhead is not functioning well.

Excellent value for money. I love it.

What an impressive printer. Great in everything it does. Possible downfalls: Cartridges and paper trays are a bit clumsy and made of cheap plastic. Ink cartridges are pricey. Color printing is very close to a laser-jet but not as good as. Paper tray should have been upgraded to take 500 pages.
