Don your best racing suit.

GT Sport may look and feel like Gran Turismo, but it's a very different beast under the hood. In place of an extensive single player campaign and an exhaustive car roster, developer Polyphony Digital have established a professionally sanctioned esport-focused racing platform under the watchful eye...

A demanding racing sim that doesn't sacrifice accessibility; Professionally governed multiplayer offers something unique among racing games; Refined and nuanced driving physics; Cars and tracks look and feel gorgeous

Light on content; Sportsmanship ranking system feels temperamental; Internet connection required

Gran Turismo Sport review

As much as I admire GT Sport’s ‘my way or the highway’ philosophy, it can be quite trying. Fortunately enough, this game’s good bits really are an absolute blast. Whether you’ve nailed a perfect overtake in VR or just nipped into first place on the final corner after a race spent flirting with catastrophe, the rush you feel is totally intoxicating. At least half my time with GT Sport has been in a thinly veiled state of both desperation and fury. The other half? I was punching the air in jubilation.

Gorgeous graphics; Awesome VR support; Racing feels great;

No dynamic weather; Punishing emphasis on realism;

Will get better with (free!) DLC.

Most beatiful racing game right now. Car physics are still very Gran Turismo, are great but lacking some detail. What this game does great is online racing. You get matched against similarly skilled drivers, so most of the crashers get stuck with a low driver rating. There's a few races to choose from, so there's usually a full grid, makes for great racing! They change the races every couple of days. I would have loved to see a career mode, more tracks (imagine a remastered deep forest raceway or trial mountain circuit!!) and just as importantly, more and older cars. A lot of the fun was getting a stock car and modifying it to work amazingly. Which you can still do but all the cars are recent models. There should be free DLC's as have been in past GT titles, but right now, content to me atleast, feels lacking.

Racing triumph demands an audience: Gran Turismo Sport review [Update]

After encountering some enduring post-launch issues in Gran Turismo Sport that, over the time since launch, have not gotten resolved, we have been forced to revisit our review. As a result, we've made some adjustments to the review content, as well as the score.

Graphics are amazingly beautiful to the smallest details; Races are fun; dynamic; and can be ran countless ways; Car livery is fully; in the most literal sense; customizable; Online play is reliable; quick paced; and easy to jump into; Sounds great; from the ambience and sound effects to the...

Poor connectivity and a litany of server issues from launch; Need for constant connectivity to internet

Review: Gran Turismo Sport

Polyphony Digital has been creating realistic driving simulators for 20 years. In 1997, Gran Turismo proved that driving race cars how they are meant to...

Unique cars with unique handling for each model; The HDR in unreal; Car models are superb

Always online with the exception of Arcade mode; Less cars than before

Gran Turismo Sport Review – Focused Revolution

From its very first moment, Gran Turismo Sport floods the player with a melancholic symphony of sound and picture that takes you back to the racing days of old. I say racing because that's what it's all about, not merely waltzing past mistake-prone AI on a quest to attain the next driver level.

Tuned driving mechanics; Social space & UI; Online set-up; Addicting challenges; Scapes Mode

Limited cars and tracks; Not exactly inclusive

Game Review: Gran Turismo Sport [Post Dec 1.10 Update]

It's been a patient wait for the Gran Turismo series to finally hit the PlayStation 4, but the PS4 finally gets its first release with Gran Turismo Sport , an instalment that has more of an emphasis with an online focus than any other game in the long running series.

Sublime; refined and addictive gameplay; Best looking racer currently on the market; Online competitive racing is a joy for the most part; Finally features custom liveries and driver gear

if you can't access servers; you can't save your progress

I've Played Other Games In The Series

There is no violence in these racing games its just the odd crash and the players are positive role models and may encourage little kids to become racers
