Many aspects of this new-generation Gran Turismo are fantastic. It looks absolutely stunning, sounds great, drives superbly, and delivers an excellent online racing experience. However, GT Sport is a little lacking when it comes to its content.

GT Sport Review – A Fresh Step

As a kid, I was never a huge fan of the Gran Turismo games. At the time the cars and tracks looked awesome and realistic but I was never a fan of realistic driving so most of my time was spent trying to wall ride and cut shortcuts across the grass to win races. I didn't do well.

Gran Turismo Sport Review

The space between releases for the Gran Turismo series has always been at the back of the minds of racing fans for many years. There's no two ways about it, developer Polyphony Digital is a studio that strives for perfection.

I've Played Other Games In The Series

There is no violence in these racing games its just the odd crash and the players are positive role models and may encourage little kids to become racers

Gran Turismo Sport review

As much as I admire GT Sport’s ‘my way or the highway’ philosophy, it can be quite trying. Fortunately enough, this game’s good bits really are an absolute blast. Whether you’ve nailed a perfect overtake in VR or just nipped into first place on the final corner after a race spent flirting with catastrophe, the rush you feel is totally intoxicating. At least half my time with GT Sport has been in a thinly veiled state of both desperation and fury. The other half? I was punching the air in jubilation.

Gorgeous graphics; Awesome VR support; Racing feels great;

No dynamic weather; Punishing emphasis on realism;

Gran Turismo Sport ( GT Sport ) is the 7th major instalment in Kazunori Yamauchi's popular racing series and the first exclusively released for the PlayStation 4. It's been 4 years since the previous instalment and I was ready to dust off my racing gloves, start the engine and hit the asphalt again.

#NotMyGranTurismo

It feels like this is another brand, another series. This is not my Gran Turismo. Pitiful array of cars, albeit well detailed, essentially no single player except for shitty “learn about our tiny number of tracks” races. Pretty much no customization in terms of adding things to the car, you can only visually change it and make tweaks to gear ratios, etc. Online multiplayer has been chosen in favour of a game the fans wanted. Another kick in the teeth is the need to be Online and logged into PSN to progress in SINGLE PLAYER. Any progress made offline will not be saved. Save yourself some money and go buy another racing game because this has ruined the series for me.

Review: Gran Turismo Sport

Polyphony Digital has been creating realistic driving simulators for 20 years. In 1997, Gran Turismo proved that driving race cars how they are meant to...

Unique cars with unique handling for each model; The HDR in unreal; Car models are superb

Always online with the exception of Arcade mode; Less cars than before
