Garmin Vivofit 4 – 12 months battery life (review)
I love fitness trackers – I hate charging them every day. Garmin's new Vivofit 4 has 2 x SR43 coin batteries that in theory will last over a year. Alas, testing cannot confirm that. Ray Shaw [email protected] has a passion for IT ever since building his first computer in 1980.
Pros:
- Basic fitness tracker with a one-year battery life
Cons:
- Dull screen

Garmin Vivofit 4 review
Garmin's most basic fitness tracker is back for a fourth edition with the – you guessed it – Vivofit 4. This sits at the very opposite end of the range to the Fenix series, Garmin's expensive, feature-packed sports watches.
Pros:
- Hits most of the basics well
- Year-long battery life
- Automatic exercise detection
Cons:
- Not much of a looker
- Lacks GPS and HR sensors
- Running accuracy not perfect

Counts all your steps
Since you don't have to take it off to charge it and you can wear it in the shower, it actually counts ALL your steps!! Easy to sync to an App on your phone. the only drawback is that it's just a little bulky, but fashionable .

Not much of an improvement
I brought this just over a month ago. Colored feature is difficult to see at times. The wifi connection drops out frequently with Samsung phone. Difficult to retrieve information. Not accurate with steps and info. Would have rated higher otherwise.

Garmin Vivofit 4 Black Large 010-01847-03 review
Garmin's budget wearable is a surprisingly solid fitness tracker, but there's no reason to wear it all the time.
Pros:
- 1-year battery life, Always-on display, Garmin Connect app works with other ANT+ trackers
Cons:
- No GPS or heart rate sensor, Bad sleep tracking, Bulky, unattractive strap

Garmin Vivofit 4 Review
The Garmin Vivofit 4 is the newest device in the Vivofit line of popular fitness trackers. The Vivofit line is known for its small size and easy to understand interface. It doesn't try to go overboard and become a smartwatch but accomplishes the basic goals of a fitness tracker.
