I got this to complete my 3-lens set for my recently bought X-Pro1 and it's just blown me away. It's beautifully made, light, works very smoothly. The zoom ring is still quite stiff but this should loosen off over time I think.
Fabulous IQ; up with the very best
Er...haven't found any yet
The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS ($699.95) is a pricey take on the standard telephoto lens that is often produced to match the low-cost 18-55mm kit lens bundled with D-SLRs and mirrorless cameras .
Edge-to-edge sharpness wide open; Wider aperture than competing lenses; Optical stabilization system; Sturdy build
Pricey; Lacks weather sealing

Like its wider sibling Fujinon XF 18-55mm F2.8 R LM OIS($389.00 at Amazon) it's built to a higher standard than say, the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6($399.98 at Amazon) that Sony sells with its APS-C mirrorless cameras. It's an excellent performer, and worthy of our Editors' Choice award. Even as such, its price is a little on the high side. Demanding shooters may want to wait a bit and hold out for the pro-level XF 50-140mm F2.8 R OIS WR; it's set for a 2015 release and has a weather-sealed design to match the X-T1. The 55-200mm($699.00 at Amazon) measures 4.7 by 3 inches (HD), weighs about 1.3 pounds, and supports 62mm threaded filters. It does extend when zooming, nearly doubling in length at 200mm, but the front element never rotates. A reversible plastic hood is included; it...
There's not much bad to say about the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS—it's one of the best 55-200mm lenses we've seen, but it is on the pricey side.

The Fujinon XF 55-200mm f/3.5-4.8 R LM OIS is a very harmonious offering. It may not excel in quality but it has only few weaknesses. The Fujinon is pretty sharp across the zoom range and entire image field - even at max. aperture.
The only negative thing I have to say about this lens would be its performance at 200mm; it feels like the lens has been optimized for the wide-angle end (given its extremely impressive performance below 100mm) and that 200mm has been, by necessity, left to be slightly less impressive.
I am new to the Fuji XT! and am still learning how to use it to its advantage. I bought the 55-200 to use as a street, nature, all around lens. It is great. The sharpness, color, and range is wonderful to work with.
Great Picture Quality; Lightweight; Simple Controls
If I'm honest I haven't really used this much yet as I've mostly been using the 35mm F1.4 with my new Fuji X-T10, but the few shots I've taken have been really good. I'm planning on taking ti capture some wildlife when touring Costa Rica later in the year so we'll see more then.
What can I say except I have been without this lens for far too long. I like the stiffness of the zoom so there's no chance of it creeping when hanging downwards. It's very sharp even at maximum zoom. It's a great size for carrying around and is my everyday lens now.
Also owning the professional 50-140 f2.8 lens I wanted a lighter smaller lens that doesn't compromise on image quality. This is the best 70-300 equivalent lens I have ever used. And the smallest! Also a nice fast aperture of f4.8 at the long end making it a great portrait lens too!
