Must have magic inside

"Not the quickest to grab focus, not the most quite lens either but oh boy, when you get your image you will see the magic. Crazy sharp all around and just a joy to use. I chose this instead of the f2 version because I wanted to have the extra stops.

Quite Superb

Focus on this is critical as depth of field at f1.4 is very shallow, great Bokeh is very nice and it came with the latest update installed which make the focus a lot quicker than reported on a lot of reviews.

FUJIFILM XF 35mm f/1.4 R Lens - Brand New review

While it's a shame that picture and sound quality haven't been upgraded, the iPhone 13 was great in these regards and the iPhone 14 is, too Excellent display Admirable headphone performance Solid build quality No upgrades to picture or sound Familiar design Notch is still present

FUJIFILM XF 35mm f/1.4 R Lens - Brand New review

Apple's latest non-Pro iPhone is superb - it's just that it's strikingly similar to last year's effort.

Still an incredible smartphone, Brilliant battery life gets a bit better, Excellent camera system gets a bit better

Last year’s Pro hardware, Wireless charging slow by modern standards, No USB-C; it’s now well overdue

Fujifilm Fujinon XF 35mm f/1.4 R

By: yobellzaa 1907 days ago XF 35mm f/1.4 R This standard lens for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 interchangeable lens camera provides a field of view equivalent to a 51mm lens on a 35mm camera, sports a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture and costs around £550.

Extremely sharp in the centre when stopped down; Very good sharpness towards the edges when stopped down; Very Lightweight; Traditional design; Excellent build

Auto focus is a little on the slow side; Can be tricky to get accurate focus at wide apertures

If I were in the market for a 35mm lens now I'd be tempted by Fuji's new f2 model.

Small; Neat; Very accurate autofocus; Light for a such a fast lens; Half decent lenshood; Image quality hard to fault, but if it sounds as though I am damning it with faint praise, I suppose I am: the lens is workman-like, reliable and very good but not great

This is now a fairly old lens; Autofocus is still good, but while more than fast enough for most things it is not super-fast and nor is it quiet; Performance optically is somewhere between very good and excellent, but I suspect the new f2 may have the edge based on the charts displayed here.

The 35mm (135 equivalent: 53mm) lens has a standard focal length with the angle of view similar to that of the human eye.

Fujinon XF 35mm f/1.4 R

I'll say it here and now - this is one of the best pieces of glass I've owned. It's small, light, beautifully built, has stunning image quality - even wide open it's super-sharp with the smallest amount of softening at the edges.

Pretty much everything

Cannot think of anything
