If I was to score the game purely based on its individual mechanics, it would probably score less than what I decided to give it. However, my long hours spent with the game never wore me out.

I have played most of the Final Fantasy games over the years, missing out the MMORPG affairs and sucking so badly at others that I had to give it up as a bad job. I have only completed 3 of the games though.

No comment ... 59$ more tax is absolutly over charge for an old games with simply horrible graphics and boring and unplayable characters !!! I just bought it cos my son want to play the demo of ffIV ....... ( absolutely fantastic)

Looks like crap on current gen consoles, but plays amazingly well. So if you are not put-off by crappy graphics you will be in for a treat

Pros:
- Beautifully overhauled visuals and audio
- Fast-paced action gameplay
- Mature story and setting full of mystery and intrigue
- 14 distinct playable characters
- each with unique weapons
Cons:
- Held back by portable roots
- Camera can sometimes get very jerky in combat
