Fallout 76 Review

Baz adventures across a nuclear ravaged West Virginia, searching desperately for any signs of life.

West Virginia Location; Time setting; Loot-grind loop

Multiplayer integration; No interactive NPCs; Network issues; Bugs and glitches; Devoid of quirky Fallout personality

Fallout 76 feels a bit like an experiment. What would happen if you take a Fallout game and put it online Sure many players have mentioned wanting to explore the post-apocalypse with a friend, but how many sat to think about all the system changes that need to be made

Photomode; Environments look great and varied

Loot and hit detection lag, Bugs and crashes, Game feel lifeless alone, Too many fetch quests, Stash is full; Again

Fallout 76 Review

In an effort to do everything, fails to do any of it well enough to form an identity. Its multiplayer mindset robs its quests of all the moral decisionmaking that makes the series great, and all that's left is a buggy mess of systemic designs that never seems to work together and regularly...

Fallout 76: "Just as worn as the world it depicts, without any of the warmth"

Fallout games have always been about survival. Everything outside the Vaults is rusty, broken, or just plain mutated - but hey, that's ...

Intriguing new beasts to fight; Fascinating backstory to Appalachia; New regions broaden what the post-apocalypse can be

Numerous technical issues; Engine is out-of-date (and it shows; Most quests are transparently fetch quests; Lack of emotional depth to the (few) robot NPCs

"Heavily improved since release - worth buying for any Fallout fa"

Fallout 76 has improved immensely since release. Later this year NPCs are coming which is very exciting. I've played 300 hours since the BETA and the game was never as bad as most of the big reviewers made it out to be, but now that a lot of the bugs have been removed, quality of life fixes have...

You came for Fallout. This is not it. Two stars because the part that I played wasn't terrible but it also doesn't make me want to run home and play it.

Fallout 76 (PlayStation 4) Review

So utterly disappointing and flawed in every possible way… The first few hours, most of it can be ignored, and occasionally the flaws can be forgotten, but only briefly before they come storming back to the forefront. An awful, boring, empty, pointless experience.

Fallout 76 Review – Nuclear Wasteland

I love Bethesda games. I've always embraced their janky, driving on two wheels brand of coming in hot. In fact, I could probably be considered a Bethesda apologist. You know, it's not a big deal that the games seem like they might rattle themselves apart – just think of all the fantastic experiences...

Great orchestral score; Interesting setting and world design

Zero permanence in the world; Janky engine behavior; Lonely for all the wrong reasons

Fallout 76 - PlayStation 4

My son asked for this game for xmas and was excited when he received it. He played it a total of about 30 minutes and hasn't touched the game since. When I received the game from Target it was still in the plastic security case which we had to saw through to get off.
