A real work horse
I've worked with my company for 29 years. Very dusty, dirty construction environment. This is our 3rd LQ-590. Amazing the way this printer holds up day after day, year after year.

Lasted for years
We purchased this machine as a replacement for our last dot matrix (the exact same model). Our previous LQ-590 lasted for years with heavy use and worked well with Quickbooks invoices, statements, etc. It was an easy choice to purchase another LQ-590 when the last one finally wore out.
Pros:

Cons:
- -Its a dot matrix
- its loud but gets the job done

"The little Dot Matrix that Could"
One might ask why anyone would want a dot matrix printer, with inkjet and laser printers available at very affordable prices. While I agree wholeheartedly that given a choice I would not choose a dot matrix. They're loud, can only print in shades of gray, and the print quality is not so great.

Purchased this printer 3 months ago and it worked great till a couple of days ago
Purchased this printer 3 months ago and it worked great till a couple of days ago. Spent hours trying to get it to connect and print again with no luck. Connected to a different PC and had the same problem. Talked with Epson support person and he had me redo everything I had already tried...

Won't Work
Had this printer for 4 weeks. Just stopped working. Our IT department tried to make it work. IT diagnosed it as computer thinks it's working, and it's accepting print jobs, however, the printer doesn't respond. Sending back.
