Slow, Buggy, to be avoided.

I wrote a review on this early tonight but left out key problems with this device. Problems with the device: I'm running a Trendnet tew-810dr with a TPLINK ac1200 adapter. I have a 20Mbps ISP connect.

D-Link EXO AC2600 review: A simple, affordable router

The EXO AC2600 is a very sensible router. The design is compact and scrupulously sober, and the technical specification carefully ticks all of the important boxes, without wasting too much effort and expense on niche features.

Practical design; Good wired connectivity

Limited range; Not the fastest on the market

It seems to work as described, BUT 1) there is a loose screw rattling around in the case - I can see it through the ventilation slots. 2) as others have said, the power lead is ridiculously short - approx. 1 metre. Although it can be wall-mounted you would need a rather high socket to do this.

IPv6 problem

I upgraded from an older D-link product and was disappointed to find I could not get IPv6 to work with my Comcast Native IPv6 modem. My older D-link worked fine using IPv6 protocol. I returned the unit for a different brand as IPv6 internet connectivity is important to me.

Problem with no 802.11b support

I have a Fitbit scale that requires the old 802.11b wifi to work. I'm also having problem with my Moto Z2 rebooting about every 20 minutes. So I installed my old Netgear router with 802.11b and my scale works great. A surprise my Moto stopped rebooting after connecting it to the old router. Jerry

D-Link DIR-882 Gigabit Wi-Fi Router, MU-MIMO, Dual-Band AC2600, 4 x Gigabit LAN, 1 x Gigabit WAN, 2 x USB, 4 x High-Gain Antennas, Fibre Ready, Whole Home Wi-Fi Ready

Plugged-in to our VDSL Spark Modem and turned wifi off on the modem. Powered on the router, set a wifi password and connected all the families devices by either wifi or cable. What a difference in speed. Wow! Thanks D-Link what a difference.
