Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Digital Camera Body Only White - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Digital Camera Body Only Black - Brand New review

The Canon M50 Mark II is decent for travel photography. It's very portable for travel with its included kit lens and can fit into most small camera bags. It delivers great image quality and has a good autofocus system, which does a decent job of tracking moving subjects.

Lightweight and portable., Good overall image quality.

Disappointing battery life.

Canon EOS M50 Mark II review

Canon’s EOS M50 Mark II is a confusing little camera – while it is feature-packed, it’s only a very minor update on the first EOS M50 camera. Other than the addition of eye AF and the ability to shoot vertical video, there’s not really a whole lot different between the two versions. So while we wouldn’t recommend owners of the EOS M50 to upgrade to the newer model, it’s great for those just starting out on their photography and content creation journeys.

Vertical video recording; Eye AF for stills and video; Great stills;

Heavily cropped 4K video; Limited native lenses; 100fps shooting at only 720p

Canon EOS M50 Mark II Review

The Canon EOS M50 Mark II ($599.99, body only) is an appealing entry-level mirrorless camera for family photographers and snapshooters looking to move beyond a smartphone, or upgrade an aging Rebel SLR. Its mirrorless design, and complementary compact lens system, are appealing for travel, and the front-facing touch screen is useful for selfies and vlogs. It's a good starter camera, but we recommend stepping up to our Editors' Choice winner, the Fujifilm X-T30, if you're a more serious photography hobbyist.A Modest Update The EOS M50 Mark II doesn't make a lot of changes from the first edition, released in 2018. Aside from the name badge, there are no differences on the exterior, and inside the camera uses the same 24MP image sensor and Digic 8 image processor. The Mark II has a more capable autofocus system, but that's it for upgrades. You can still buy the original EOS M50 for a little less, $579.99 without a lens. Photographers getting started will want a lens. Canon sells ...

The Canon EOS M50 Mark II offers some minor updates from original. It's still a very good digital camera for photographers, but one to skip if 4K video is a priority.

Lightweight build with lenses to match; 24MP APS-C imaging; Wide focus coverage with 10fps bursts; Swing-out touch LCD; Integrated eye-level EVF; Supports external microphone; Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and webcam support

Cropped 4K video with slower autofocus; Short battery life; Doesn't support USB charging; Small burst capture buffer

Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Digital Camera Body Only Black - Brand New review

Like its predecessor, the Canon M50 Mark II is an attractively-sized, well-sculpted camera with a good-quality sensor, a responsive vari-angle touchscreen, a decent electronic viewfinder and a very-capable autofocus system.

Excellent image quality, Superb implementation of touch-control, Good-quality viewfinder built-in

4K video mode crops the frame, Limited lens range

Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Digital Camera Body Only White - Brand New review

It’s a great handset, but the improvements are so iterative that most of you will hardly notice what’s new.

Action mode offers truly superb video stabilization. eSIM makes it easy to switch phones (with other iPhones). Satellite SOS and Crash Detection add peace of mind.

Many of the specs remain the same as on the iPhone 13. Small battery gains. Photonic Engine isn’t as revolutionary as suggested.

Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Digital Camera Body Only White - Brand New review

The iPhone 14 comes to market with the same launch price as the previous generation. At the same time, iPhone connoisseurs were more than disillusioned after the presentation of the new smartphone. Apple leaves large parts of the hardware unchanged and does not dare to change the design.

Top performance level despite last year's chip, Very high quality workmanship, Improved image and video quality, Excellent battery life

Hardly any innovations, Charging takes too long for 2022

Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Digital Camera Body Only White - Brand New review

Slightly better cameras but otherwise, not much of an update - buy the iPhone 14 Pro or switch to Android instead

Better low-light photography, Slightly longer battery life, Action mode gives super stabilised video

The same performance as the iPhone 13, No Dynamic Island or Always-On display, 60Hz screen

Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Camera with 15-45mm Lens M50MII review

Having a camera handy will, alone, result in more images captured, and the M50 II is especially easy to keep handy. I took this little camera's predecessor along on several short trips and can say that its convenience factor is really high.
