The upcharge for a QVC purchase on this camera body isn't that bad compared to some other Photography equipment I see on here. Of course, easy pay makes this far more convenient for some folks, like myself. I upgraded from the T3i (Another QVC purchase#.
First impressions of the 70D were underwhelming. It looks just like a 60D and IQ not much different either. A big omission was the lack of GPS which was highly annoying as its on the FF 6D; so I expected it on the 70D The touch screen is little more that a gimmick for the benefit for the camera...
Image quality; colour; auto focus responsiveness; live view auto focus; video qualty tilting LCD screen
No GPS , Image shadow noise at high ISO; Af/F not easy for a beginner
It was a great update from my old T3i. So far I love it. Don't consider upgrading it from 60D. Picture quality (I think that matters in these camera), and basic feature wise this is quite similar to 60D. But yes, you get good autofocus system compared to 60D.
Phase detection autofocus; very fast and accurate; grip

Tedious wireless and white balance controls; Somewhat bulky
I purchased this camera for a trip to Canada - and I'm so glad that I did! Going on a family trip, I took 90% of my pics on auto settings without a tripod and they came out fantastic - I just didn't have the time to fiddle with settings when I needed to get the right shot at that moment while...
The Canon EOS 70D DSLR camera is the successor to the EOS 60D and has many new features and improvements. The 60D was a very groundbreaking camera for Canon . It featured an articulating screen, an increase in ISO range, and was the first of Canons cameras to offer full HD video.
Canon's EOS 60D may be a little over three years old now but it is still highly regarded as one of the best mid-range SLRs for enthusiasts due to its ability to produce stunning images and myriad of features.
Impressive image quality; Super continuous AF for movies; Built-in Wi-Fi; 19-AF pounts; Responsive touchscreen
Single SD card slot; No built-in GPS; Unable to record videos when Wi-Fi is on; Creative filters & HDR JPEG only
The canon 70D is a brilliant camera, the DSLR met up to my expectations and what I had read upon about it. The camera is exactly what I wanted and I would recommend this product to a lot of people.
