Great beginner camera

So easy to use, guides you through the settings on screen and great quality pictures. I'm a beginner in photography and font intend to go pro or anything like that, just wanted great quality pictures for our family days out...this camera delivers that for a great price.

I bought this camera just to play around with and to use it in place of a disposable camera. It's really cool and easy to learn!

After a long gap decided to reignite my interest in photography. I didn't want to spend huge sums. This is a great camera easy to get the hang of and I have gotten some great images. However the instructions were a bit sparse for a beginner and so I bought a more detailed manual on eBay for a fiver.

The most budget-friendly DSLR currently available, Canon is a popular choice for beginners. The 4000D manages this price by sacrificing some of the construction quality. However, it can still pack a punch, thanks to a tried and tested 18MP APS-C sensor, borrowed from the popular 1300D.

Great camera with greater features.

I bought this camera because I wanted to have a go with an internet avaible cpiece of equipment. What i got defies description, and is easily a cut above its standard.

great camera dispite reading bad reviews

I read a lot of bad reviews about this camera but they must have been written by someone who has an expensive camera, this camera is sold as a beginners camera, it does exactly what it says it will and I'm extremely happy with it, love the WiFi connectivity to my iPhone , great pictures

Canon EOS 4000D review: Is this the best budget DSLR yet

Canon is hoping the EOS 4000D will spark the joy of DSLR photography into smartphone snappers. I'm not so sure.

Takes good quality photos

Low-resolution LCD display is horribly cramped; Sluggish autofocus and burst rate; No touchscreen

Canon EOS Rebel T100 / EOS 4000D review

The Canon EOS Rebel T100 / EOS 4000D really does feel like a camera that's been designed and built to a budget imposed by especially parsimonious accountants. With most of the camera made up of components from the parts bin for long-superseded Canon DSLRS, there really is nothing much to recommend...

Easy to use; Logically laid-out controls; Decent battery life; Low price

Dated 9-point AF; Small and low-resolution screen; Only 3fps burst shooting; Plastic finish and lens mount; No touchscreen

Canon EOS Rebel T100 / EOS 4000D review

Canon's new entry-level DSLR focuses on value first and features second...

Great value for money; Massive range of compatible lenses

Poor kit lens; Slow live view AF

Canon EOS 4000D Review

The Canon EOS 4000D is Canon's new entry-level DSLR, sitting at the bottom of the range, designed to offer student photographers, or those on a budget, an affordable Digital SLR. The 4000D features an 18 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, and built-in Wi-Fi for transferring photos.

Wi-Fi built-in; Good colour reproduction; Decent ergonomics; Easy to use; Decent battery life; Auto White Balance options of warm or white

Disappointing ISO range; with poor noise control; Only 3fps continuous shooting; Lacks auto-HDR shooting; Horribly slow live view focusing; Plastic lens mount will worry some; Poor kit lens; with chromatic aberrations; and no IS
