Canon 1 Ds III is definitely worth the money. I have other EOS series like 5Dii, 1D4, and also a crop 7D. The 1Dsiii is definitely a all PRO camera. Snap on any L Series prime lens on this body, you will take amazing photos.

Excelent camera is expensive, but is a great heavy duty camera !!
It Just Keeps Looking Better I have used the Canon 1 Ds Mark III for seven months now, shooting over 6000 pictures in non-professional contexts; I have also been scanning 40 years of slides taken with then-state-or-the-art film cameras (most recently the Canon F-1), so I have lots of bases for
Intuitive and responsive; Small Lag Time
None
Almost the same menus as 1DIII, which I have used for some time and like. Requires more care as the detail of the image is so high. Just got back from a week in Death Valley for flowers, shots look wonderful. Colors are very good. Data size get large in a hurry, I download to my laptop everyday.
Best user interface; Good Battery Life; Great Resolution; Weather proof
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; High ISO Performance; Quiet; Tilt /Swivel LCD
Short Battery Life; Small LCD Screen
As my friend said (he's a professional photographer) this camera is perfect for a pro photographer. I've had it for over a week or so and I can say it's really good for any weather conditions and lightning. I particularly like the big, bright viewfinder. The LCD display is very good as well.
Excellent images
weight
Stock photographers will be excited to know that the file sizes that the MkIII produces are accepted by agencies without need for resizing.
Full frame; High resolution; Dual processors; New layout works better; Excellent ISO results; Not as heavy as MkII
Pricey; Massive memory requirements; Screen not as bright as expected
The Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III is an imaging powerhouse. If you're looking for many megapixels in exchange for your well-earned pounds, this dSLR packs a whopping 21. With a large screen, live view and beefed up AF and exposure systems, this camera could revolutionise your photography
Very low noise; high quality images; Live view shooting; Pro-level build-quality and performance
High price tag; Heavy body; No AF in live view mode
The Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III is an awesome creation, and the first of its kind to make it past the 20mp mark. Beneath its rubberised magnesium alloy exterior beats not one, but two hearts: dual DIGIC III processors, which drive the performance of this incredible camera, and a 21.1mp full-frame sensor
a fantastic full frame camera, that is an incredible bargain
fantastic price for such quality images
ISO doesn't go very high- heavy and bulky
