If getting the shot is of utmost importance to you, a Canon 1-Series body should be a high-ranking option on your very short shopping list. Canon 1-Series bodies have long represented the pinnacle of camera performance and reliability.
The Canon 1D X MkII represents the very pinnacle of how far the industry has pushed action photography cameras. If you make your living in this realm and already shoot with Canon kit, there's nothing better you can buy – it's simply remarkable.
Canon EOS-1D X Mark II DSLR Review (Full Resolution Test Images)
I'm one of those guys who likes to sit down with a new camera, peruse the manual, familiarize myself with the controls, and configure my custom settings before heading out on a maiden voyage.
Canon EOS-1D X Mark II
Updates to Canon's 1D-series professional DSLRs are rare enough to count as something of an event. The new EOS-1D X Mark II replaces not only the EOS-1D X, launched back in 2011, but also the 4K video-focused EOS-1D C of 2012, improving on both.

The EOS-1D X Mark II camera incorporates a number of significant improvements to help deliver highly precise, reliable AF and AF tracking, both faster and available in more situations.
Best DSLR camera ever!
Hands down the best DSLR you will ever use! I purchased the 1Dx Mark ii for its incredible image quality & high frame rates for both still images & video. It's ability to take 120 FPS video at 1080p is totally legit & well worth the money!
Review: Canon's EOS 1D X Mark II is a (shutter) speed demon
Both Nikon and Canon have unleashed top-notch, pro-spec DSLRs for 2016, just as anticipation for the huge sporting events kicking off this summer hit fever pitch.
It may surprise some people to realize that the 1D series now dates back 15 years, beginning with the original Canon-1D in 2001. During that time there have been numerous advances in image quality, performance, and even entirely new features, such as video.
