The Bushnell company feature a very wide line-up of binoculars. As they are active mainly on the American market, their production focuses on roof prism devices with 40-42 mm objective lenses, very popular with American customers.
good build quality of the casing; well-corrected chromatic aberration; slight astigmatism; moderate coma; wide field of view; relatively circular exit pupils; good quality BaK-4 prisms; long warranty period
weak image resolution on the edge of the field of view
Exactly what it says - a great bit of kit. Not small but fine for me and with only one eye it is much easier than binoculars.
Binoculars are great except they came with a broken diopter ring. I can get it to work so haven't sent it back, but was displeased with the packaging and the broken ring.
I was very excited about this pair of binoculars. The optics and clarity in low light were excellent and they felt like a high quality pair of binos.
Waterproof and fog-proof, they appear to be decently built, but there have been a number of complaints of pieces coming off or breaking, and of the binoculars sometimes arriving this way in their packaging.
Lightweight; Good value; Perform well in low light
Stiff focus dial; Poor eye relief; Lens caps easy to lose
I owned both scopes at the time of the review last summer. I have since sold the TEC 140. February 9, 2012
