Bose QuietComfort Earbuds beat AirPods Pro on sound and noise canceling, but not design

It took Bose quite a while to get them into stores, but the new $279 (£250, AU$400) noise-canceling QuietComfort Earbuds are finally here. In many ways, they are excellent true wireless earbuds, particularly when it comes to their sound and noise canceling, which is arguably the best out there right now in a set of earbuds.

They sound great and have arguably the best noise canceling for true wireless, but they aren't as discrete or comfortable as the AirPods Pro -- or as good for calls.

Best-in-class noise canceling with transparency mode; Top-notch sound; Comfortable, secure fit; Rock-solid wireless connection; Decent battery life for noise-canceling earbuds (up to 6 hours); Wireless charging (and USB-C); Decent voice calling with sidetone "self voice" feature; IPX4 splash-resistant;

Buds are fairly large (they stick out of your ears); Noise reduction for calls could be better; Pretty pricey;

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds review

It’s Bose’s second attempt at a set of true wireless headphones, and the QuietComfort Earbuds are leaps and bounds better than the older SoundSport Free. Not only is the design a lot better, the noise cancellation is exemplary. Sound quality is also really very good – albeit a touch less bassy as compared to Sony – with superb clarity. They’re incredibly comfortable and well balanced too, despite their bulky form factor.

Best-in-class ANC; Rich, clear sound; Secure, comfortable fit; Wireless charging;

Lacks on-board volume control; Bulky charging case; Case could offer more charge

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds - SoapStone 831262-0020 review

Bose’s original true wireless earbuds, the SoundSport Free, sounded fantastic but were foiled by connectivity problems and audio / video sync issues that the company never fully resolved. They also lacked active noise cancellation, which is the feature that Bose built its entire brand around.

Best noise cancellation yet among true wireless earbuds; Excellent sound quality; Comfortable; secure fit

Large carrying case; No way to go back to the last track with the earbuds; Can only pair to one device at a time

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Review

Bose makes its mark with the terrific QuietComfort Earbuds. They sound brilliant and noise-cancelling performance is imperious. Aside from battery life that comes in behind that of its closest rivals, these are a sensational pair of earbuds from Bose.

Tremendous noise cancelling ; Sounds brilliant ; Tight, comfortable fit ; Excellent transparency mode;

Less than average battery life ; No aptX;

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds: Bose may be late to market with ANC earbuds but they're well worth the wait

Class-leading ANC; High-quality audio; Secure and comfortable fit

Average battery life; Limited touch controls

Satisfied

Love it. Fit properly and the most important thing is the quality of the sound. Even when you use for talk, people can tell that quality is really good compare with other product

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds review: Best ANC Buds

I somehow doubt Dr. Amar Bose could have foreseen that the active noise-canceling tech he developed in the 1970s would one day find itself in what might have been considered back then as magical, glorified earplugs. Yet, here we are. The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds have arrived and they are brawny, a little bulky, and fashionably late to the party. Also, I really like them. Competitors have been cranking out ANC earbuds since 2018, and the past year has seen some excellent options coming from companies like Sony, Jabra, Sennheiser, 1More, and plenty of others. I presume the reason we’ve had to wait this long to see Bose’s answer is that, in true Bose fashion, it wasn’t going to come to market with true wireless ANC buds until it was convinced they were the best. The good news is that the $280 Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are excellent in many ways. The bad news is: They aren’t for everyone. Read on to find out if Bose’s buds are a good fit for you. The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds come nestled...

Best noise-canceling buds; Excellent call quality; Exciting audio quality; Solid battery life; Secure fit;

No multi-point connection; A bit bulky;

Good quality trouble some connectivity

Overall would say that the experience with his headphones are pretty good the noise cancellation is adequate but not the best the Bluetooth capabilities are a bit of pain in the butt with the iPhone 11 Pro seems to have a difficult time of connecting or staying connected with the phone sometimes it drops out wanna hear me connect the other or may not connect or there will be issues with just trying to get the machine to connect to the iPhone in general. Overall the battery life seems to be pretty good the sound quality also seems to be good the noise cancellation needs a little bit more work. And the Bluetooth connectivity needs a lot more work.

Great product with one flaw

Preordered and received them sooner than expected. These ear buds are truly amazing, but can’t say they are perfect. Pros: Amazing sound quality Outstanding noise cancelling Comfortable for all day wear Long battery life Cons: Only one in my opinion. When using them on phone calls, people on the receiving end of my call can hear all of my background noise, and it’s so loud that they can’t stay on the call for too long. Is their a software patch for this issue. All in all they are great ear buds for listening to music, podcasts but not so good with phone calls.
