Beautifully presented, slick gameplay and a storyline that in my books is better than the recent films, Batman Arkham Knight is a fitting way to end this franchise

As a videogame power fantasy, Arkham Knight is a heady brew. It makes me feel powerful, it makes me feel smart, and it adoringly invokes a pop culture icon and multi-billion dollar franchise that even the stuffiest of non-comic book readers can groove to.
A worthy finalé to Rocksteady's Arkham series.
Ya know, for a minute there I thought there were only three Batman games in the Arkham series. Nope. Actually there are four, if you count the latest one – Batman Akrham Knight. Now, isn't that weird?
Stunning visuals; spectacular ambience; great voice acting; cool music and a huge open world to explore in..
...none of which necessarily makes a great game; and the tank battles don't make up for it
As you've come to expect from Rocksteady, Batman: Arkham Knight is another great title in a series full of them. The story is problematic and the addition of the Batmobile is both a blessing and a curse, yet Arkham Knight still manages to impress on many levels.
Stunning visuals; Batmobile adds some nice variety; small-yet-important gameplay improvements
Story features problematic elements; Batmobile combat is tedious
It came after a slightly lengthy delay, a lot of speculation and much anticipation. Now, you can ‘Be the Bat', as the ad campaign promised, and assume the mantle of The Dark Knight in a last ditch effort to save Gotham.
Ending a trilogy in the videogame industry can be as tedious as it is in filmmaking, but Rocksteady has managed to deliver a narratively comprehensive and engaging experience that is accessible to both returning and new players.
Note: Slight spoilers ahead The Arkham series was one of the most influential franchises during the last generation. Batman: Arkham Asylum created a combat system that has been replicated to no end.
Fantastic characters; World is loaded with content; New additions to stealth gameplay are brilliant; Visual design adds life to each character; Flying high above Arkham is as beautiful as it is fun
Use of Joker is annoying and forced; Emphasis on the Batmobile late in the game is tiring
Batman is a brawler, a crime fighter, and a detective – the ultimate jack-of-all-trades superhero. The way in which Rocksteady's Arkham series emphasizes the many facets of the Dark Knight stands as one of its greatest achievements.
Dual play ramps up the combat; Plenty of cool gadgets; Darker storyline; Gorgeous visuals
Darker storyline; Best endings hidden behind side content; Gorgeous visuals
I've waited almost 2 years for this game and it was so worth the wait. The graphics are amazing, the story line is great and the character development is brilliant. The open world is huge, but still packed with things to do. This is the best game I've ever played. Ever.
