Time has caught up to Astro. For years, it was one of the few companies focused on gaming headsets—and as a result, it got away with charging a premium. The $300 Astro A50 is still a great headset, but that price looks increasingly ridiculous when companies like Logitech (which now owns Astro) and HyperX offer as-good-or-better sound fidelity in devices that cost half as much.
The Astro A10 won’t win any beauty contests, but compromising looks to focus on audio seems to have paid off here—it sounds way better than its $60 price tag implies.
Rich bass for a $60 headset; Flip-to-mute microphone; Very durable;
Narrow soundscape sometimes leads to muddy audio; Plastic, plastic, plastic; Colors aren’t very eye-catching;
Audio will always be a huge part of gaming. Whether it's a series of familiar bleeps and bloops or a hero spouting off a catchy one-liner, we need to hear it. That's why it's so great to have options when it comes to gaming audio.
Durable design; Excellent bass sound
Doesn't quite fit over-ear; Higher tones sound a bit muffled
This headset contends with Nintendo's arcane chat setup, and the results are anything but magical.
Zelda-inspired aesthetic is well done; Velour earpads
Aggressively boosts mids; Setting up voice chat is terrible
I would not recommend this product cause it died on me after 3 months of using it now its just a headset and this was my only mic now i have to buy another pair of headphones
It has a great mic for its price
-has a cable so it's not Bluetooth
This headset only lasted a little over 3 months before it stopped working. My son is unable to hear any of his friends through the headphones and when he speaks into the mic no one can ear him. We tried to troubleshoot the problem and still ended up with the same result - nothing!
Beware, all photos and specs are very carefully crafted to make this headset look wireless. I fell for it. It's a wired headset. Works just fine as a wired headset
Headset is ok and I would be happy with them but the flip to mute does not work which is crucial as I use for VOIP meetings.
This product was faulty and I have had to return it for another.
Astro headsets have always been among the best gaming headsets, but affordability as always been a barrier of entry for most gamers. This is no longer the case, as the new Astro A10 Headset retails for a decent $99.95.
