Although Assassin's Creed Black Flag was the first of the Assassin's Creed saga to arrive on the next batch of next-gen consoles (e.g. PS4 and XBox One ), it also boasted one of the best stories to date, however it did suffer from some graphical issues.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was a welcome new direction, adding an enjoyable pirate flavour to the familiar framework of Ubisoft's historically rich open world series. Editor's Note: Assassins Creed: Unity was reviewed on the PlayStation 4 platform and all the bugs for this review are specific to that console. GiN waited a full week before running the review, hopeful that a patch would fix many of the bugs, glitches and errors.

While it will likely suffice for Assassin's Creed core fans, Unity stumbles throughout and never really finds its footing. Where last year's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag saw the franchise reach new heights, Unity is somewhat of a sidestep that only shines sporadically.
