Assassin's Creed Unity
After the rocky launches this month, Ubisoft may want to reconsider releasing so many triple-A games within weeks of another in the future. Assassin's Creed Unity seems to have some of the worst problems, with crazy glitches that cause faces to disappear, NPCs and Arno to fall through objects, the...- Huge improvements to the free running mechanic
- co-op missions
- well-woven story
- and massive open world with fun and creative side quests make this the best Assassin's Creed game to date
- The bugs mar what could be a near flawless experience
- but everything Abstergo
- the leveling system
- and the four currencies prevented perfection anyway
Assassin's Creed Unity
Although Assassin's Creed Black Flag was the first of the Assassin's Creed saga to arrive on the next batch of next-gen consoles (e.g. PS4 and XBox One ), it also boasted one of the best stories to date, however it did suffer from some graphical issues.
Review: Assassin's Creed Unity parades the series' most profound playground
If you're invested in the classic AC style, this will do the trick. You'll love being a part of Ubisoft's Paris.- Paris is among the best-looking open-worlds we've ever seen
- Hitman-style missions are a step forward in a stagnant series
- Side-activities still feel like filler this far into the series
- Loading times are absurdly long
- so death is a true punishment
Assassin’s Creed Unity Review
Assassin's Creed 's well-worn gameplay loops actually encourage exploration. Far Cry 's islands have mimicked AC 's viewpoints, garrisons, and you could even say swaps its own vehicular gameplay for Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag 's naval forts.- Absolutely stunning open world
- Paris feels alive and rife with activity
- Weather systems and lighting drench the scenary
- Free-running lines are aplenty
- Co-op and multiplayer missions
- Arno and Elise as leading Assassin and Templar
- Highly varied textures
- buildings
- interiors
- Inter-history...
- Lots of one-hit kill animations
- Glitches and system-crashing bugs
- Arno and Elise as leading Assassin and Templar
Assassin's Creed Unity
The assassins have kept a steady schedule, as Unity and Rogue are the 7th and 8th installments on consoles, not counting several spinoffs. Unity is the Creed's first effort exclusively for this current generation, and Ubisoft has fashioned it with co-operative multiplayer to celebrate.
Assassin's Creed: Unity PS4 Review
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was a welcome new direction, adding an enjoyable pirate flavour to the familiar framework of Ubisoft's historically rich open world series. Freely sailing the Caribbean was a real revelation for the series, and it was so enjoyable that it was always going to be missed...
Great, and not so great
I was really looking forward to this game. The trailers made the storyline look so complex and engaging, and the graphics looked gorgeous.- beautiful setting
- controls are smoother
- awesome on ps4
- so much to do- get your money's worth
- glitches
- graphics look choppy
- story could've been more intense
Good, not great.
Assassin's Creed Unity sees the franchise return to its original form of land based high detailed city exploration. Having been a huge fan of the entire Assassin's library i was super excited for Unity and for the most part i was not disappointed, Fans of the series probably know you're not going to...
